Am I still afraid?

I was looking back at all my poetry and realized there is a certain theme:
fear

and I don't think this is a very unusual theme, but it is such a crux of the stories - of all the stories that I've written, really, (except for Lorn, because she is the embodiment of the girl who lacks fear when all the world requires it -- she is, in so many ways, and in so many of her faults, so much of my ideal)

but it begs the quetsion

am i still afraid?

Yes, in fact, that's what Kenny said to me as we were riding along on our bikes, our hands clacking against each other as we swerved down the tiny side streets and past the poles and passerby.

"You need to stop stressing out over everything," he said. "You don't need to, you know."

The first step is to be on time, to get things done, and then let it go as I go. To learn when it's okay to have a little wine, and half a slice of apple pie, and take it easy - You're doing your best. You don't have to follow things so strictly.

But am I still afraid?

fear, stress, life, writing
