this has been the longest semester of my life, and a semester which proves to myself that i have the ability to work like a draft horse, i just never knew it. sewing drawing all day all night. i basically have not had much of a life outside that. my friendships are almost all dead im sure because i have been poor about keeping in touch with anyone. but im proud that i have made it this far in one piece. im proud that i thought i could never do this and now at least im trying. The fashion business is scary. i may not get a job. i may not ever amount to anything or be sucessful or reach the level i would like to. but i am in this boxing ring with my gloves on and i won't give up just yet. that was cheesy as fuck.
and on that note-
ladies and gentlemen, the fruits of my labor.
This is my final project for pattern making. i designed the whole outfit from scratch, made the pattern, and sewed it. it was a bitch.
All the holes edges on the hem trim were hand embroidered by myself and ryan (who freaking rocks and saved my ass!)
This is my illustration project. The idea was "the marriage of the absurd" and we took two unrelated ideas and designed a collection based on them. My two inspirations were the princess and the pea and porcupines.
and thats all kids. i will now sleep and study for my regular classes and be happy cause this hell of a first sememster is almost over.
