I would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who has donated thus far. Due to your generosity, I am only $145 away from being able to get Fluffy his surgery! The bad news is Paypal has "limited" my account due to 'unusual' activity, which is ridiculous since their site should show most (if not all) of the contributions I've received were directed to the site via their own "Donate" link. I can supposedly still receive donations, but I am unable to collect the money until they've concluded their review. I wrote them an e-mail explaining this is for my cat's veterinary care and time is of the essence since it could mean his life or death. I'll hopefully have this resolved soon since I had planned to call the vet today to schedule Fluffy in and just do a payment plan for the last $145 if that's what it took.

Meanwhile, Fluffy seems to be feeling better on his pain medication. His mouth is still bleeding some, but that doesn't seem to have detracted his appetite any. He just doesn't exhibit any signs of cancer other than the huge lump. He's only lost 1 pound since February, which is not necessarily a bad thing since he was considered a little overweight. He's still affectionate, still has an appetite, and still wants to jump around on things. There is some hesitancy, but I don't know if that's due to his current infirmary or old age. I know that after he got the pain injection last week he jumped up onto the cabinets, which he hasn't done in a long time.

Plus, well, unless I'm crazy that lump keeps changing. Some days it's big and hard (that's what she said :P), some days it feels anywhere between 5-15% smaller and not as swollen/pressed to the skin, so I don't know what to think. The vet said if it didn't noticeably decrease with the antibiotics that it was probably cancer, but she also said that if it was a tumor it wouldn't change at all except to maybe get bigger. Not to mention the fact that this thing kind of showed up out of nowhere. I'm sure we would have noticed a pecan-sized lump on his jaw (which gets rubbed frequently) before it had reached that size. I don't know. These are all just arguments as to why he really needs that biopsy because otherwise we just don't know WTF it is to treat it. I'm really hoping, if Paypal cooperates, to have that done this week. It sounds like the vet wants to do somewhat of a lumpectomy, which would be good, get that thing off his face and ease the discomfort if nothing else. I am nervous about the surgery though just cause he is an older cat. Hopefully everything will be okay.
