In on of my last posts I had a list of things to do. One of these was upload all my photos from our European trim in 2001 to my flickr account. That I have now done. They are broken down by country to make it a bit more manageable.

I am in procrastination mode. I have to update the OWS directory and post my construction notes from the making of Gemma and Steinn's investiture clothing. It is going slowly.

We have a new resident on our lot. When we got out this set one of the deer at the back of the lot didn't really look like a deer. On closer inspection, we have an Elk. So a year an a half on this property with no elk and now in the span of 2 months we see our first elk and now we have one squatting here...

I never thought of myself as a Birder, but I went for a walk with my Brother last week in Vancouver and it turned into a photo opportunity for birds around the marsh area of Jericho Beach.
Here is one of the better shots. From what I have been able to tell this is a Golden Crested Sparrow.

It is snowing. Environment Canada claims we might get 5cm tonight. By the looks of the snow on top of the bird feeder we have a bit more than that already.

Another morning another gift, though this time Bela didn't kill it. The mouse eventually got up and escaped into the garden by the deck. Claudia has now joined Bela to try to recapture and finish the job.
