(no subject)
Okay, this is going to be a long, STUPID post to anyone who doesn't care about my doll things, so I'll get the interesting bits in here and wank about doll eyes in the cut. xDD Hahaha.
I've gotten a couple chapters into When You Are Engulfed in Flames, and it's MAGNIFICENT!! It's like, laughing-out-loud-while-reading good. I'm enjoying it -so- much. I love David Sedaris, and I don't care who knows it. <3 I definitely need to pick up the rest of his books!! (Or Courtney could loan me audiobooks... ~ ehh? ehhhh??)
I have to go back up to school tomorrow (I don't think I mentioned that in my earlier post), and pick up Mr. V's letter. And I'm getting a haircut tomorrow!! Excitement and joy~! (And I'm also going to a lady doctor for the first time on Wednesday. Oooooohhhhh~ Go me? More like go birth control. <3)
I'm trying to figure out how to get my class ring to say what I want it to. There's no option for my alternative school as an official ring, but they do offer homeschool rings... However, I can't get "Reese Alternative" printed where I want it, so I'm going to go see if there's a jewelry place in town that does this specific high school ring service and see if they're willing to do a custom ring. Hope so. :D

Bladeykins, my good friend over at
bakubaku is going to be going to the Volks store on Saturday, and she can pick me up some proper eyes for Elby. 8DD Yesss. He really needs some glass eyes. I like these acrylic eyes I bought for cheap back in the beginning of my obsession, but the don't catch the light at all, and they tend to end up really dark in photos, which I dislike for Elby.
So! To properly decide what color eyes he needs--right now he's bi-colored, but I don't know if I'm going to keep that; I certainly only plan on buying one set of glass eyes right now--I took pictures of him wearing every pair I know. |D Including Chichi's. (But not including Enn's. *shrug*)
HELP ME DECIDE!! What color eyes should Elby have??
His "usual" eyes: one greenish, one grey.

Default brown (12mm, I think, instead of 14. Or is the other way around? Other way around, I think... Anyways, I think they're too small for him, so they look weird. xD)
Blue with purple around the iris. (Dark blue, really.)
dslfknsdfnsdf Green glass eyes. <33 This is the kind of DEPTH I'll get once he has glass eyes!! Doesn't he look so cute??? ;w; But I really don't want to give him Chichi's eyes. xD;
Hazel. :D Green with brown on the inside.
And that's all the eyes I have in him! My favorites are the paler colors. The light green glass looks stunning, but is sort of not an option, and I really like the grey. I think it gives him that pale, soft look. Spacey, sure. xD Darker eyes make him look slightly more intelligent, but... does Elby really need to look more intelligent? |D
...and of course, I couldn't be taking doll pictures without some cute shots. <3 (As if all these weren't cute?!) Tan-tan had to come in and crash the par-tay!

Wig switch! And you finally get to see what Elby's been wearing for MONTHS. xDDD He's such a girl. |D

Oh! I hotglued velcro to Elby's head (to hold his wig in place, with corresponding velcro on the inside of the wig), and it's been working great. 8D It's such a godsend. And the backdrop in this shoot is brought to you by... my jacket. |D Isn't it cool?
P.S. Are my pictures too big on everyone else's monitor? I want them to be easy viewing. Are they HUGE? (I have a big monitor on my laptop, and a HUGE one on my desktop, so I have no clue. xD; )
