Flooding in the dorms
So, today has already started off interesting. Here is how my day went....
went to bed about 12ish. At 6:15am i hear the fire alarm going off, i am like paige 'is that the fire alarm?' she was like yeah. So i fall out of bed (mind u it is lofted), but a sweatshirt on and shoes. I am like 'who ever idea to do this fire drill at 615 is crazy' well i walk outside and i only see people from my dorm. I am like oh shit, something is messed up. well we soon get pushed away from the building. slowly we started hearing different things. 4th floor people finially came out of the dorm later bc they never heard the alarm till people (like men) were yelling to get out. Well we soon learn water is leaking everywhere, mainly the parlors and the rooms by the parlor, which is in the center of the dorm. Well, we heard it started in 4th adn made its way to 3rd. Well i am on 2nd. Well 715ish they finially are like lets go inside brewer (dorm next to mine), so we go in and as soon as we do, we here the water mades its way down to 2nd. I am like oh shit. So, we go inside. I chill in the 2nd floor brewer parlor a while, then i went to michelle's and stacy room and tried to sleep for 30 mins and that did not get far. Then at 8, i got up, to check on what was going on and nothing new. at 730 though all the gurls went and got breakfest. lol. So at close to 8 i go to Terrins room adn call my boss saying i am coming in late. FINIALLY around 830ish paige comes to terrins room and is saying we can go in the dorm. Mind ya while i am trying to find info i see puddle of water on 3rd flaircloth. So, we go in and see the water everywhere in the hall. We open the parlor door adn u just see water coming down and the furniture is all wet adn smells really bad adn teh ceiling tiles are like on the ground broken up. We are all like OH SHIT! i am taking pictures. Then i go upstairs to 3rd adn it is even worst! the girls on 2nd fair were able to move their stuff earlier than 3rd faircloth could. The one girls room the wallpaper i guess u call it came off teh wall and u can see dirt just coming down the wall. it is just REALLY BAD! So, i am taking photos like a mad person. So, i finially got ready adn went to work. at 930ish people are sending out e-mails about our issue. I am like little late people. WE still have no idea what happened, we have heard steam pipe broke, sprinkler system busted there, and other random items. All we know is it started on 4th, but 3rd got the worst of it adn then we did. 4th adn 1st barely got hit at all. So yeah. Everyone's stuff is in teh hallway and just a mess adn smells really badly. So yeah. I have been up since 615 adn i have class till 7!!!! I am going to die. Let me tell ya though we are the talk in campus. So yeah. Made a facebook group called 'i survived the faircloth flood.' we are being called refugees now...lol it is NUTS! now my ankle (left one) feels messed bc of my fall. i am like wonderful. great job me! So yeah, as soon as the classes are done with going to do my statistics hw and drawing 2 stuff fast and GO TO BED! i am so tired. I was crashing in typography adn layout adn my teacher was like long day huh. i was like oh yeah nothing like a 615 firealarm to wake u up! it is nuts i tell ya. OH and when i left the building never grabbed a cell phone or camcard. dumbass me! i thought it was a drill and would take like 5 mins or 10. NOOOOOO 2 hrs later! lol. Oh mind u our dorm was teh first to be redone out of 4 and 3 are done right now and working on the last one. Our guess is they never replaced the pipes and they are the orginial one. Lets see what Meredith does to pay for the girls stuff that got damanged. They already ripped up all the carpet in teh parlor and the furniture is in the hallway and just a mess!! it says it will take 3-4 days to repair depending on what they find along the way. NUTS!!! this is how u start ur week off right :\ gosh darn it!!!
OH my stuff is fine, i am at the WAY other end of the hallway. Like the gurls stuff is by our door bc we are the furthest from the flooding. NUTS!!!!!!!!!1
