lately all I want to write about is Dollhouse, apparently?

I am trying to be okay with Joss using the oh, so he's just insane! explanation for Boyd's villainy. Actually, I can see in it almost shades of Serenity, with the Operative. Boyd was a believer too, which was what made him so dangerous. Anyhow, I think Joss did what he could given the looming threat of cancellation (I don't know if he wrote this episode before or after the cancellation was announced, but I know that he wrote the 13 slated episodes with the end in mind, so that there wouldn't be any horrible cliffhangers), but, oh! Boyd! Break, went my heart. His end does not sit well with me. I did love that Topher was the one to take him down with the remote wipe, however. That was for Bennett, bitch.

Echo's "I loved you" really got me, because I loved the dynamic she and Boyd had from the beginning, but I don't know now. Are we supposed to believe he really did care about her, because in the end it felt like he didn't care THAT much? "Well, we don't need you alive to take your spinal fluid!"

It's just making me very sad, is all.

Things I loved:
- how protective Adelle was of Topher. (She triggered Mellie because Boyd pointed the gun at Topher, right? I need to re-watch that bit. And she was holding his hand/arm. Oh *wibbles*)
- return of Topher 2.0
- Adelle's "Really?" and eyebrow arch upon hearing that Tony was Tony but with some "enhancements" or whatever the word was they used.
- Boyd admitting he didn't like Paul.
- Harry Lennix. Gosh, he's amazing. Gosh.

I don't know what I will do with myself if we don't get as hopeful an ending as is possible in two weeks.

just not right, dollhouse, firefly, joss whedon, olivia williams, serenity, telly, harry lennix
