Not going to lie, I am freaked to hell over all this swine flu business.
Now, I consider myself to be an intelligent person with the ability to think rationally, so I am attempting to keep the following in mind:
(1) All the cases in Canada and the U.S. thus far have been mild and responded to treatment. This article calls it "not as serious as SARS".
(2) Hysterical news headlines sell papers.
(3) Nothing can be done either way, and I'm more likely to be killed in a car accident than by this flu.
Nevertheless, me = terrified. I'm not afraid so much for myself as for my little ones. I'd like to just hurry up and have Sebastian and then hide inside until all of this blows over. :-/
