every moment

While I found much of this episode - specifically the main client of the week's story - to be far too Danielle Steel for my liking, I thought all the subplots involving the other characters were well-done. Boyd's restlessness and boredom with his new job combined with his concern about Echo; Topher's sad little birthday celebration; even, to a certain extent, Ballard's angst over his "relationship" with Mellie/November. To me, all of those were far more compelling than "middle-aged woman solves her own murder mystery". Also, I thought Olivia Williams played Adelle's emotional state (grief over her friend's death, residual feelings of betrayal and disillusionment brought about by the Mr. Dominic situation) to subtle perfection. Margaret was a cheesy snore, but I did love the final scene with her and Adelle, mostly on account of Olivia Williams' apparent brilliant ability to make my heart ache with a mere crack of her voice: "Will my life flash before my eyes?" "Every moment."

Temperatures in the high-80s are expected today. Might need to break out the wading pool.
