Prison Break
"Subdivision"
Okay, I loved this episode. The return of Haywire! He has a thing for windmills and pastoral settings, and apparently does not have hands like Billy. The opening scene cracked me up. The kooky music fit perfectly.
Loved bleached-out horny middle-aged homeowner. I was going to call her desperate, but, after all, she didn't go for ready and willing T-Bag when the opportunity presented itself. (What the hell were they drinking, anyway? Lemonade and Jack Daniel's? Gross, dude. Lemonade and vodka, sure. No whiskey for me, thanks.)
As much as I love seeing the guys in civilian clothes, the coveralls gave me a great deal of joy. Yes indeed.
What is with the weird Kellerman-Kim interaction? Lady Pres. has herself a new right hand man? Will this cause Kellerman to abandon the Dark Side? Something tells me the answer to that question is a big fat no. Or he'll do the right thing and then he'll die. But again, probably unlikely.
Sara hung up on her dad when "Lance" appeared. I think I need to re-watch that scene. Did she think her dad was merely being an alarmist or did I read her wrong? If somebody I love and trust calls to tell me that this guy I just met isn't who he says he is, I'm going to listen, especially if I recently got out of the hospital after OD-ing on morphine which I took to dull the pain after I left the door unlocked for the dreamy con I fell in love/lust with who used me and who, as a result of my leaving the door open, escaped from prison with seven other cons. That sort of thing kinda gets a girl's guard up, you dig?
Heroes
Series premiere. Oh my God. Loved it. I need to watch it again.
It was fast-paced, and they set up the connections between some of the characters by the end of the episode, which is a good thing, *cough*LOST*cough* We've got humour, but no camp, which (to me) is another good thing. Plus, yay! interesting characters! And, of course, the story is set in NYC, and Bob help me how I adore that city.
The artist who paints the future thing feels like it might have been done before - (why in the world does Tales from the Crypt come to mind?), but I love it anyway. It gives the other characters direction. Ties them together. Gives them purpose. (I'm about to start quoting Agent Smith here or something.)
[Wee bit o' swimming in the shallow end:
Sendhil Ramamurthy and
Milo Ventimiglia? Freaking gorgeous.]
Hmm. I may have more to say after I watch the episode a second time.
