I'm just not *in* love with you, Joss

Finally read Giant-Size Astonishing X-Men last night.

So hey, Joss, that big world-saving plan? Yeah, that might have been really great if I hadn't seen it on Stargate SG-1 twice already. Maybe even three times.

So booooooo on you.

Astonishing X-Men started off okay, but then it stopped making sense somewhere in the middle. Or with the Breakworld story. Was that the middle? I have no idea, that shit went on forever.

And he brought back Colossus, which was annoying because I was a strong believer in the "dead means dead" rule, and Piotr and Kitty are the most unhealthy couple. I wish she would have gotten back together with Pete Wisdom.

...what? I liked Pete, and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy his adventures in the MI-13 series.

At least now that the interminable story is over, the series can finally slide back into the Marvel Universe timeline, instead of floating around in a vague netherworld of Whedonness. After reading this issue, I'm pretty sure the story took place before Civil War... except that still doesn't work. Dammit, Joss.
