All is quiet on New Year's Day.
Another day spent in solitude. Turned the TV on for the first time in a week to induldge in Boondocks and For a Few Dollars More. Cooked for the week, making big pots of food that I could easily make into meals for one later on. Home made frijoles and salsa. Yum.
Filled the dustpan six times while cleaning, and got all the crud out from behind the chairs and such. Laid down some of that enzyme stuff to get pet stains out of the carpet. Haven't decided what to do with the chairs and sofa yet. Hmm.
Party last night, lots of fun. An old friend in a similar position and I both remarked that this was the most comfortable we'd felt in a social gathering like that in years. Liberation from drama is good, even if it's sad along the way.
