Working title...is an idea that I've been developing since 2007. It started out small then snowballed into some kind of epic tell of one man's story. I get a lot of my ideas from music. Not so much the words, but the sounds and rhythms, melodies. The problem is the story is so massive it's hard to see it all. I know the ending better than the beginning and the parts in the middle kinda float around somewhat out of order and possibly paradoxical. I wonder if I could work that into the way it's experienced.
Since I know the whole story I don't have to express it linearly, right? But, in the classical style of epic poems it kinda does, which is the way I want it to be...appreciated? Yet, I do want perception to play a big role in how my story is experienced. With some of the sensations/experiences of the main character it's so hard (for me) to express them eloquently and vivid enough to do the viewer justice.
Well, here is just a taste, I guess. Without going into too much detail I will give some background to the main story.
Lucifer is not the main character, infact 'he' isn't given a whole lot of focus.
Lucifer was not from this universe. Nor was he a manifestation of another universe. He was like Micheal in a way. They both originated for The Source. Despite being from The Source, Micheal and Lucifer were very very different in many ways.
Micheal was a Creator. 'He' made, organized, built, conjured, breathed, imagined, or however you'd like to fathom his brilliant act of expressing entire universes. How 'he' achieved this wonderful display would be somewhat like sparking an idea in an empty space and watching it unfold on its own. Generally the idea was very simple and extremely pure in intent. Every once and a while 'he' would nudge some aspect of the idea/universe to change its flow. The dynamics of how a universe operated are massive and extremely complex, yet the creation aspect is absolutely simple. The initial spark, or idea, was always a complete reflection of some fundamental aspect of 'his' being at the most basic level. But, like all creators, Micheal would only maintain one universe at a time.
Lucifer however, was an idea. One that came directly from The Source. All at once. A pure complete being manifested by The Source. The only one of 'his' kind. Lucifer did not create nor evolve. And, being directly from The Source yet as an idea made all of 'his' characteristics a nearly pure hybrid of Creators and their ideas. 'He' could flow through universes and play whatever part 'he' wanted in the universes of Creators.
Being directly from The Source, Lucifer ALWAYS appeared as magnificent to the manifested beings within a given universe as their Creator, at first. Eventually, the more magnificent beings would see that Lucifer was not "of their flesh" and revere 'him' as angel or demon depending on what kind of role Lucifer felt like taking. Usually Lucifer would act as a support for Creators, but sometimes 'he' would take command of the natural flow of a universe, usually just some aspect of it, and change it to reflect his own desire. If the changes 'he' made were in-congruent with the Creators desire, then the bewildering and bizarre would occur. It was all very fascinating to 'him'.
Creators felt no attachment to their universes because they were just ideas. And, their existences were temporal and cyclic. So, one could say that a particular universe was like a single breath. In and out. over and over. Forever.
Yet, as mundane as that sounds, to Creators there was always this sense of exploration. The desire to manifest something new. After an eternity of existence, new becomes THE reason to live. THE reason to create. New is everything, but only as long as it remains new. The search for new is the driving science behind how/why the particulars of universes are created.
**Aside: While it can be disputed that Creators are ideas made manifest by The Source, Creators were ALL manifested at the same time. They existed before time, as if at the same time as The Source. As if they were the yang to it's yin, yet there was no doubt that the Creators were direct manifestations from The Source.
Wow, got really detailed and didn't even start the story...shit. Oh well, maybe next time. All those details will make sense if you get to experience some of the story.
