Is it sad that the interesting part of my day is so often my commute?
More on that anyhow:
For my morning ride in I ran up to the first car. I like the view and the sweet spot on the left side of the train where I can stand leaning against the bulkhead in such a way that I don't have to hold on. (Sometimes I like to hook my elbow around a pole by a side door, giving myself easy egress but on the flip side, that places me in the path of passenger traffic at every stop.)
Today I saw three things of interest:
* A diamond ring on a woman's hand. The stone was so sparkly it was unreal.
* A coupon for Filene's Basement in the Metro paper someone was holding. (Exiting the station, I snatched up a copy for myself and two extras. I cut out the coupons and placed one on the desk of each of my employees.)
* A snippet of copy from a book someone was reading. It said, "Delight in something." That puts to words part of my philosophy of life.
