Fannish year in review
Well, it's that time again! While I may not have written as much as I would have liked (I think this is my first year in some time that I've written under 100,000 words), I made six (!) vids, which is not at all shabby. I also did a lot of streamlining of my various online accounts, and uploaded all my fic (nearly 250 stories at the time) to the Archive Of Our Own.

What Child Is This (30,000 words, Merlin/Arthur & Gwen/Lancelot, NC-17) - This one has gotten the biggest response of any of my Merlin fics, and I'm grateful to everyone who has commented on it and recced it over the last year. :)
Flight Path (25,000 words, Merlin/Arthur and Gwen/Lancelot, NC-17) - A reincarnation story that I had great fun researching and writing.
Speed Dating (400 words, Merlin/Arthur, PG) - a little commentfic.
Second Glance (3000 words, Merlin/Arthur, PG-13) - Merlin and Arthur meet up again after several years.
Thrill of Victory (2500 words, Bradley/Colin, NC-17) - Set before, during and just after Bradley's United Relief match at the Old Trafford.
Virgin Sacrifices Aren't What They Used to Be (7100 words, Merlin/Arthur, NC-17) - A cracky space AU. Also available in podfic form thanks to
pandarus.
Natural Progression (1600 words, Merlin/Arthur, NC-17) - A canon-era PWP.
Untitled B/C comment porn (c. 1500 words, Bradley/Colin, NC-17) - a collaboration with the wonderful hermette.
Laying Bare (800 words, Merlin/Arthur, R) - Written for cherrybina's Necking Fest.
Catalyst (2400 words, Bradley/Colin, PG-13) - Bradley reacts to Colin's performance in Parked.
Confessions (1100 words, Merlin/Arthur, R) - Canon era snippet in which secrets are revealed.
Preparation (1800 words, Morgause/Arthur, Merlin/Arthur, NC-17) - THE ABSOLUTE FILTHIEST THING I HAVE EVER WRITTEN. :)
Played for Laughs (400 words, Bradley/Colin, PG-13) - A bit of on-set hijinks.
Christmas Cheer (900 words, Bradley/Colin, R) - Bradley gets Colin steamed up, long distance.

Fiona - My first attempt at a constructed reality vid, in which I try to show what it would be like if Arthur knew about Merlin's magic.
The Mayor of Simpleton - A Bradley/Colin vid. Yes, I went there.
I May Be Wrong (But I Think You're Wonderful) - Probably the only vid set to a Dinah Shore song, but it fits the way Merlin sees Arthur to a T.

Manip: Bradley and Colin get married - YES, I HAVE NO SHAME.
I'm disappointed with my Merlin output in the latter half of 2010 - I had to drop out of a fest, which I've never done before EVER (though at least I did it early on so I didn't leave anyone in the lurch), and I have two stories I'm working on atm that are going incredibly slowly, and a third I don't know if I'll ever get to do that I really WANT to do. I'm going to try to take it one day at a time, and hope that what I've done recently will help get me back into it.

When It's Nice And Cold (2700 words, Steve/Danny, PG-13) - Steve and Danny huddle for warmth. No, I'm not participating in cliché bingo, though you'd never know it! :)
And this won't be written until 2011, but just a heads up that I'm offering a Hawaii Five-O fic for the Purple Dove Project auction here.

Something Good - Yes, I know most of my vid song choices are at least forty years old. I happen to think it's an important niche I'm happy to fill.
Something's Gotta Give - Danny Williams is a character crying out for a Frank Sinatra soundtrack.
I feel a special joy for Hawaii Five-O, because unlike Merlin and a lot of my other fandoms, I can really say I got into this on the ground floor, and have received a lot of feedback from folks saying that my episode picspams, recs, vids and general flailing squee over the show have helped get them into the fandom. It's a great feeling to know you're directly or indirectly influencing the enjoyment and the creative process of many other fans, so even though I didn't write very much in the last few months of 2010, I feel like I've still accomplished something creative in a different sense. :)
