A guy can't go through Grad, and just idly sit by while it happens... I graduated last night: and it was an amazing feeling! In fact, I'm sure there's only one thing that could possibly surpass it, and until I actually start looking half decent/some girl is "into me" that way, heh... I ain't gettin' it. :D
Seriously though... wow. The day started off with Express *groan... I'm sick, and I'm pissing off instructors cause I'm seldom around, although I do still try!!!*, then I left around 11:00 for home, and picked up some green tea on the way (which I only drank like half... I hate the stuff, but it's supposed to help). When I got home, I had two aunts, and my Grandma and Grandpa Ward waiting for me with hugs; despite the fact that I'm sick. Then, after having a shower, taking some drugs, and making my hair look OK-ish, they decided it was time for Grad presents. >.< I'm very adamant that I don't need presents at Grad... I know, it's a step forward in your life (trust me... I figured that out alreadty!) but... presents just seem so pointless. Anyway, on the theme of "Get Paul and Sandra's son out of the house ASAP": I was given a Frying pan, a "stoneware" dining set (plates 'n cups 'n stuff), a blender, the classic "grad photo-holder thingamabob", a pen/calculator thing and... wait for it......
-A MICROWAVE- *dum dum dummmmm*
Not even kidding. My family all chipped in a little, and they actually bought me a microwave for my birthday. A MICROWAVE?!?!?! I couldn't help but laugh my ass off. :D
Anyway, once that was all said and done, we went to church for the grad service, and despite a little mess up on David's part of not coming when he should (bum decides he has to hold the door open for people, even though he's near the front of the line), it was awesome. Like, usually at church services, when I'm drumming, one or two things go wrong. Either I get off beat horribly, I'm too loud, or I lose a stick or something, but I actually managed to keep it pretty good! :D Then, Mrs. Gaucher... >.< She gave me a card with 20 bucks in it. 1: I wasn't expecting it. 2: I'm seldom in the choir now, thanks to Express, so why'd she do that??? 3: We didn't get anything for Melissa, so that's stinky... I made sure to thank them all at least. Afterwords, I came home, and zillions of pictures were taken >.< I hate pictures... I'm sorry they're just.... pointless. I know, it's supposed to give you a chance to remember the good times and whatnot, but I think I'm actually good enough to do that with my own brain. :) However, I survived, for the most part.
Then I went over to the Frey's place for about half an hour, 45 minutes, at which time we all piled up into Erica's car, and drove to the Heritage for the rest of the ceremonies. I found my parents already there, waiting. My O Canada went OK as well, although I felt bad when I started singing the French lyrics during the middle part (which I was always planning on doing), and some people who were singing along cut out... *whoops, guess I should'a warned them* After waiting what seemed like hours, we finally ate, then signed pictures, then the speakers and stuff went through.
I Especially liked Mr. Pierce's (Our principle). The theme was "Celebrating Friends, achievments, and Spirit" or... something like that, and everybody used that thing in their speeches, including Mr. Pierce. I don't really remember what he said anymore, all I know is that... it made me feel amazing. Suddenly I was proud to be Graduating, not just "excited to get outta school" and stuff. I was actually proud to be a Vanier Graduate, not just some student to went through the separate system, and survived.
Anywho, the rest of the night was great. I actually sorta enjoyed the Dance, usually I just sit down and don't try to do anything... cause I prefer to make a fool of myself on my own, not with other people's help, but I went up and danced 'n stuff... and actually enjoyed it. When the Hypnotist was up, I tried to get hyptnotized and stuff but... K, this is actually what happened, not just an excuse. I was holding my hand out, watching my knuckle and stuff, like he said, and everything was really starting to go black. When he was going through the audience, checking who was under, and who wasn't, someone fell overtop of him, everyone screamed, and then I lost concentration. I probably could've tried again, but I didn't. Besides it was great to see Larissa's precious "Bobby" be renamed "Shit for Brains" and to see David play the piano and dance quite... interestingly, and of course Robert's precious "Semi automatic white magic machine gun" *lol*, oh... and last but not least: Jenn's "BULLSHIT" when the hyptnotist said a certain word. Lol! If anyone doesn't understand any of these stories, and wants them explained in full detail, I'd be more than happy to accompany your thoughts.
Anyway, this is getting to be a really long post. Generally: the evening was amazing, practically orgasmic (although my pants stayed quite dry, thank god), and there's just one thing left I want to do with this post:
STEPHEN FLEGEL'S ACHIEVMENTS SINCE DAY ONE

Age 14: Joined the Vanier Band, choir, and Jazz Band, Improv team, and got the role of "Munchkin Farmer" and "Tibia" in the school play: Wizard of Oz. *Screw you guys. I got a talking role in my first year of Highschool! I was frickin' pumped!
Age 14: "Went out" with Jenny Kelly... for like a week
Age 15: Got a much more "main" part (Lamar) in the school production of "Godspell", and Joined the Chamber choir, getting the solo in the song "Ain't got time to die"
Age 15: Hooked up with Crystal Barcier, then realized she could make a little girl (like me) cry. But hey, we're friends now so it's ok. :)
Age 15: Try outs for Express, made the last cut (this was when there was like, 50 people auditioning though)
Age 15: Vanier Chamber choir chosen (Out of all of Saskatchewan!!!) to go to Ottawa and join a country-wide 350 person choir for Canada day Celebrations. (this being what Nora claims was the only reason I didn't make Express)

Age 16-17: Amazing summer, despite my fear of getting connected to other people outside of my friends. (Long story... don't ask)
Age 17: Rejoined Jazz band *YAY!*, got the part of "Sean" in the dinner theatre (damned dinner theatre...) "Paper Wheat", tried to keep Improv but died out halfway through the year for good.
Age 17: Broke up with Christi... horribly. Tried to make it up, tried to stay together, nothing worked, I made my first life long enemy I guess...

Age 17: Felt like shit for a good long time.
Age 17: Went to Banff again
Age 17: Got into Express for a second year (although, practically nobody auditioned. >.<)
Age 17: Met Larissa and... hooked up. Next month: no more. Still partners throughout the summer, so still hafta try our damndest to be friends (which really doesn't seem that hard this time for some reason)
Age 17: Graduated.
Age 17: Wrote a list of things that I've done through my life.
Age 17: Finished the list.
Age 17: Continued to pretend I was funny by extending the list longer than it should be.
Age 17: See? I'm still doing it!
Lol. wow... a good portion of my life was in the last 3 years... Precisely why I think everyone says "High-school is one of the biggest chunks of your life". Damn... it definately was. Hopes for the future? Well, Winter Express'd be nice... Long term though? Some sorta permanent job, maybe performing, maybe Musical Therapy, maybe teaching Arts Education, dunno. Get married perhaps? Who knows... I sure as hell don't. But you know what? Who cares, so long as I have a microwave!!!! :D
Anyway, this was a reeeeaaaallllly long post. Whoever actually managed to read this all, leave a comment, and I'll get you a piece of pie. *I set no specific date for when said pie will be delivered* Anyway, I need to have a shower, get dressed-ish, so Dave and I can go decorate a Taco! :D So; lata!
~Stärgæzr: Dream on~
