I always mean for these entries to be short, but... I guess I don't know when to shut up.

Today was actually a good day to work outside. No sunburn, not too much sweat. No grass-caked shins. We went for a picnic, just Eddie, Cassie and I. Cassie and Eddie tried to go pick up Brad and bring him a cup of coffee, but someone already picked him up. When we got back from lunch, Brad's car was gone. Alex had a short message for us from him. "Don't ever take my keys away from me again."

Gee, so glad you appreciate our concern for your well-being, Brad. I hope you figure things out, but right now you're being a class 1 asshole.

Eddie helped me with my aunts lawn. We earned a little bank, had some quality time to chill and chat. It was really good to finally open up to him. I can see clearly now why Cassie is his best friend.

I was supposed to go haul off some dirt for my dad, but when I got home, the truck was still gone. It'll have to wait one more day, and I know when he got home tonight, he probably wasn't very happy seeing that pile of dirt and gravel still sitting in the back end of his driveway.

Cassie was going to help me at Anna's, since she only had to work for one hour today. Then, at practically the last minute, they call her and tell her, "Oh you don't have to come in until 2, but you need to stay until 7." I was bummed at first, but Eddie came to help me with the lawn and it ended up not being bad at all.

School starts in a couple of weeks. I can't wait until I have my loan checks in. It seems like my financial stability hinges on that. Actually, there's no seems. My financial stability DOES hinge on that. I'm going to try to save as much as I can until I get my Spring loan check, at which point, they might be able to give me a bonus Perkins loan and I'll be set to go for Spring and Summer.

Rent is due this Sunday. I have 190 of the 400 we owe so far. I don't know how, but I went through almost 70 bucks today. Where the fuck did it go?

20 for the picnic, then 16 for gas, cigs and coke. Then I gave alex 20 for gas and cigs... which hopefully, I'll get some of that back? I guess it depends on whos lawn he mowed today. One of these days I'm just going to tell him to hang on to his money and let me take care of rent. Goddamn that boy works hard. Anyway, that's 56 so far. I spent about 8 on gas for Anna's mower, most of which I put back into my car, and bought a coke which was disgusting. That's 64. I guess that adds up if I count some of those dollar bills I still have. Sheeeezus, it goes fast.

Luckily, Gas is a good investment to make. The gas in the mirage should last me a few weeks, so I can consider that well-spent. The money we spent on a picnic fruited plenty of leftovers (no pun intended), for future turkey and ham sandwiches. I think I still have a 20 oz coke sitting around here somewhere. I still have half a pack of cigarettes, too. If Alex does indeed have any change from that 20, I'm gonna have to get that back. He straight up made things official with Trecie, and then--- let's just say we're all a little disgruntled.

Anyway, Cassie gets home soon. I made plans to hit the show with Eddie, but Cassie said earlier that she wants to stay in. Maybe she'll change her mind and come with us. Eddie, what did we decide we were going to see? The Village or Colateral?
