its a matter of fact.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday was retreat:
Got up early Monday. Hopped in the van with the guys (Aaron, Danny, Chris) and rode to Wichita to set up the band and sound system. The band's getting better. Everyone is getting friendlier. Chris is doing an awesome job, and I'm really proud of him. He's only been with us for about a month and already taking all the responsibilities like everyone else. And he's progressing on drums. Retreat was fantastic. Theme was the Amazing Race. Everything was pretty much the same as when we did it with Pastor Joel, who I still miss. But Pastor Joseph is growing on me. We didn't play capture the flamingo. That sucked :( Retreat has always been a landmark for me. I found my calling there. Last year I was basically healed from all the mental and emotional disbelief that I was having. This year wasn't as big, but it's always the best thing MPACT does.
Thursday:
Got up and ready after getting in late from retreat. Took Abby, her friend, and Jake to the library and McDonalds. I got Ralp Waldo Emerson's Essay book. Took them home. Picked up Danny from his human video practice. I can't really remember where all we went but I think it was only Guitar Center and the mall, oh yeah and the thrift store, where we didn't buy anything, we just laughed at gay clothes. Danny talked to the Charlie's Steakery guy in Spanish. We looked around at FYE. Aaron called me to tell me that he bought his new car! I'm so happy for him!! After that I went back to the church. I had drama practice, choir ensemble and practice with Clifford for his hand bell solo.
Friday:
Danny had Large Human Video practice. I waited outside the door for him. I drove back to his house, he ran to Albertson's and I met him at this house. I sat on the floor by his bathroom and played with his dog while he did his hair. An old girlfriend of his called...and called...and called. It was crazy! We gave up and finally we left. He explained alot about it in the car, it helped me understand the situation more. Haha, kinda made me want to knock her out! We drove around. I went into Ulta to find out how to get to Utica Square. I honestly didn't believe that my parents would let me drive all the way out there so I just decided to do it on my own. We got on the highway and got off on 21st and Harvard. We had fun driving around and talking. We have pictures so I'll put them on my fotolog along with retreat pictures. I took him to Saffrons and other places out there by TU. I learned alot about him. I don't dare say it, but he really is my closest friend. Especially after that night. We ate at this really cute place called Umberto's. It was this awesome pizza place that I highly recommend. We made our way to Utica Square. The whole day we had a plan of seeing things we had never seen before and doing things we'd never done before. That's why our excursion was so important. We critiqued music together, becuase we make the best comments when we're together. When we finally got to Utica Square we made sure we had the attire and the persona to be there. We went to the Banana Republic and American Eagle. We went to the Starbucks and drank some coffee till it got too crowded. Then we left. On the way home I almost got us in a wreck haha. anyways. I like our relationship. I like having a guy friend I can be close to without getting close enough to date. Ya know?
