I said on my RL journal 5 hours ago that I thought I was ficced out. I've started the 2nd chapter of the co-fic with Tini and while watching random Benno clips on the Tubes of You and ran across
This. All you need is from 6 minutes on. I don't know a lot of German... but I do know that Benno says 'shit' a lot... which will always amuse me. Anyway... I blatantly ripped off them being tied up thing to write this. Go me for originality. Feh. I'm going to bed XD<3
Title: Can You Hear Me Now?
Fandom: Speed Racer
Pairing: Inspex
Rating: PG-13
Description: X and Inspector get captured. It's kind of hard to come up with an escape plan when you can't even understand the person next to you.
Words: 881
Inspector wasn’t exactly certain how it was that he ended up being the one with the gag in his mouth but it left a terrible breach of communication between X and himself as they sat tied back to back in the shady room. The thugs that had overtaken them did the dumbest thing possible and left them alone in the room together.
They’d tried moving that arms free and it had almost worked except Inspector nearly tore his arm out of socket, his shoulder snapped sickeningly and he decided that simply wasn’t going to work.
“Mph… Hmmphmphkt” Inspector tried to speak, “Phghk” He added bitterly when he realized even he couldn’t make out what he was saying.
“You got something?” X turned his head and leaned back so he could see Inspector’s face if he turned towards him. Inspector nodded his head quickly trying to somehow draw X’s attention to his pocket. He had a switch blade in there that could set them free in a jiffy… but X just wasn’t getting him.
“Mmh… PGH…KEGHT!” He almost screamed against the thick cloth and X shook his head.
“I can’t hear you damn it.” X and Inspector both dropped their heads back in frustration and Inspector looked over at X and an idea hit him, albeit… a strange one.
“Mmph!” He leaned over, happy that he could nudge X’s face with his. When X looked back at him Inspector nodded towards him then looked down sharply at the wad of cloth hanging around his face. When X just stared at him blankly he rolled his eyes and pushed himself against, brushing the cloth against X’s face and X’s eyes widened behind his mask as he finally started to get the idea.
“I… Yes. Of course! That… could work.” X realized this was a life or death situation but all the same he could feel his face growing hot.
When Inspector reached over again X pushed forward too, trying to grab at the cloth with his teeth, he got hold of it but suddenly wasn’t sure what to do with it. From the angle he was at he couldn’t pull it down much less out. He let it go and quickly moved his head to the other side.
“Over here.” He whispered quickly and Inspector quickly followed, repositioning himself and X pushed again. This way he was closer to Inspector’s mouth but at the same time he could actually pull it down slightly and felt it give a bit from Inspector’s mouth.
They both froze when they heard the voices outside the door and the turn of the doorknob. Too late! But another voice suddenly came and they both faded back down the hallway. Precious seconds added. X didn’t say anything except now he was in complete survival mode as he pressed forward again, his mouth practically over Inspector’s as he grabbed at the cloth hastily, feeling it give again as he pulled until finally Inspector could push the rest from his lips as it fell around his neck.
He sighed a breath of relief, trying to ignore the heat he could feel from X’s mouth having been so close to his own.
“In my jacket pocket… there’s a knife, if you can reach it…” He left it at that and X nodded, moving so that his hands brushed against the cloth of Inspector’s coat.
“Right.” Inspector looked up at the ceiling reminding himself the man was trying to retrieve a knife. It was inevitable the he wouldn’t find the pocket immediately, but he kept aiming to high and his fingers kept sliding down Inspector’s hips. Inspector sighed lightly in aggravation. This… was… ridiculous.
“Lower.” He bit his lip, embarrassed at the entire situation. They were in a life and death struggle and he was flushing at the idea of X feeling him up.
X finally found the knife and slid and was thankful it slid out with a switch. Within moments they were free and rubbing their wrists from the coarse rope that had bound them. X reached for his gun and wondered briefly why the thugs hadn’t taken it. It seemed so obvious but oh well, he wasn’t going to curse his good luck.
“Good job.” Inspector stood, kicking the rope away from his shoe as he placed his foot on the chair and pulled his pant leg up, grabbing the small emergency gun he kept strapped to his calf.
X cleared his throat and watched Inspector, or more specifically, watched his lips. He’d been so close… so close.
“X? What’s wrong?” Inspector glanced at the door as X moved closer to him and without a word, slid his hand behind Inspector’s head and kissed him. It was quick and satisfying, all tension suddenly gone between them as he let go.
“The cloth was in the way earlier.” X stated flatly, though the slightest edge of a grin could be seen on his face.
“Well.” Inspector blinked a few times, “Glad to know I wasn’t the only one distracted.” He sighed as they both heard the voices again and the doorknob start to turn.
“Let’s get out of here.” They both grinned at each other, guns aimed for the door. They wouldn’t be much longer… they had better things to do.
At least they're professional about it. XDDD
