Well, I've just woken up in the New Year! Sitting in my brother-in-law's bed (LOL THE HUSBAND AND I ARE USING IT, GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER) and decided that I had a wee bit of time to fill out this here nifty FanFic Review.

I'm more shocked than anything! Fandom is seriously like a black hole that I never want to leave haha. It sounds crazy, but now I can't imagine my everyday life without a little bit of fandom mixed in hehe.

You know what I like? I like that every time we comment on 'Keep Calm' with how awesome Jim is and how much we love this Jim we're basically telling you how awesome you are and how much we love you. And it's true! Love you sweetie and your amazing writing. I'm incredibly grateful you entered the fandom and stuck around. 26 fics? Fuck, that's amazing and they are all brilliant.

And you are a brave, brave girl for writing Pinto. I get so tempted but the idea of making that leap into RPF frightens the hell out of me. But you keep on writing because your fics always brighten my day. =)

Hahaha ohhh how I wish it was like that! The aspects of me that are in Jim are really just all the geeky things. All of the allusions and media references are straight from my head, no research necessary. But as for his actual personality - I like to think I'm not necessarily as obnoxious as he is haha. I'm definitely not as dedicated as he is! So yes, mostly just the UBER GEEK in him is me ;)

As for Pinto...ugh. I don't know why it's so daunting, but it always is. I THINK YOU SHOULD GO FOR IT, THOUGH. Seriously, you are a fantastic writer and I wouldn't just say that (I'm not nice enough to give out free compliments LOL). But really, if you have a plot you should totally run with it. I bet a lot of people will be thanking you! <3

Hmm, I think there's a trend here that I really liked the ones you disliked. I still dig me some Three Dozen Daisies and Juliet - I think I told you the latter had one of your more graphic sex scenes, yeah?

Also, MOAR GUMBY. So you better be sending me stuff soon.

I think your hottest sex scene in Saudade is the same one I'm thinking of, unf unf unf.

Gumby... who is Gumby again? LOL JUST KIDDING DON'T HURT ME, I will write Gumby into the next chapter...which I haven't written at all. AT. ALL. Ugh. So much WWing necessary, darlin.

And yes, the scene from Saudade is totes the one you're thinking of. We be mind twinz <3

I. Am so excited.
This is my first comment on your journal, but it's not the first time I've been here. I've read all your Trek and RPF fics, and they're amazing (even the Juliet, fic you hate). I literally have your journal bookmarked in my internet toolbar so I can check obsessively for new fic. Keep Calm is just brilliant, especially because Jim in that fic is someone I see a scarily large amount of myself in.
And now that I've finally gotten around to making an account, I can tell you all of that :)

Oh my gosh, hello hello! I'm so excited that you got an LJ! It's a lovely tool for stalking, is it not? It helps me in my creeper endeavours at least bahahaha. I'm so happy that you enjoy my stuff, it always feels so freakin' good to hear from a reader.

I'm glad you can see Keep Calm Jim in you because that means I'm not the only one LOL. All of Jim's geeky aspects are basically torn straight from Yours Truly. I'm a huge geek in all ways. My cats are even named after X-Men...

Anyway, thanks for popping in, you have no idea how excited this comment made me! Happy New Year to you darlin! <3

Lj is indeed good for stalking. I'm still learning the tricks of the trade when it comes to lj creepin, but I'm getting there.

I'm a super-geek too, and I hear you on the X-Men cats. I've already decided to name my future dog Quark, both for the character, the scientific term, and the awkward sound of it. If you don't mind my asking, what are your cats' names?

I'm glad to finally be able to comment :) Expect feedback on the next Keep Calm, too!

Quark is a good one! :D My first two cats were named Rogue and Jubilee, but Jubilee died last year and we have Hepzibah now, who we call Zibah. Our first dog is already planned out to be named Gambit XD

I actually went back to it a couple of months ago to clean and polish it up a bit, and was surprised when I realised I'd forgotten most of the scenes LOL. The only plus side of my awful memeory is that I seem to forget everything I've written almost immediately after posting it.

ANYWAY, hope you had a good new year darlin! <3
