-one of the snl shows from a bit earlier this year was incredibly funny. the one with Al Gore. he just made fun of himself the whole time. really personable. i watched it with a friend, and we appreciated each other's company because we both got all the political jokes. when gore started looking Tipper, i called it- "are they going to make fun of the kiss? i hope they make fun of the kiss." and they did. a lot. to the point that one of the crew members had to use a shock gun phaser thing on al gore so that tipper gore could finally breathe.
-i'm a slow reader :( which sucks because there is a lot of stuff i want to read right now. do you have any idea how interesting the history of Nicaragua is?
Oh- and anyone looking for a book to read...i HIGHLY recommend My Jihad. i don't know the author's name but thats what its called. an american - white, blonde, blue eyed- cenverted to islam and went to the middel east to fight jihad. went to chcnya and stuff too. worked for theCIA because although he really supports jihad, he doesn't believe in hurting innocent outsiders thus he was working against terrorism for the CIA. apparently he is in jail in mexico now. for smuggling guns or something. anywho, yeah read it.
-i'm seeing this guy. and itsnot so much that i'm attached to him as it is taht i have been at this school 2years (well 1.5 ifyou count that i was in ghana for .5) and haven't met anyone i get along with as much. another non-consumer who is opinionated and i don't intimidate him at all and he isn't too full of himself and isn't that "cool/hip down-to-earth type" who wants trophy girlfriends and stuff. doesn't ahve dreadlocks because its cool to have dreadlocks to show that you are all about the simplicity of life...can i just say i'm not a fan of dreadlocks because its a fashion statement here. and i am REALLY not okay with the fact that i have seen people in hair salons getting work done on their dreadlocks. the whole fucking point is for it not to be a great concern, natural and what not. dumbasses. hahaanywho, went off on a bit of a tangent there!
-i'm going to have a meeting with IRC tomorrow. its a refugee relocation organization. cross our fingers it goes well because i would like to finally do something interesting thats related to immigration. and not stopping it because its illegal and destroying the hard labor of decent american citizens and all that bull.
