Seared Tuna over Greens ~D4~

A real treat for me tonight, I made yummy tuna over pretty greens for a very healthy light but delicious dinner~!

I made this salad tonight because I am trying to eat less meat lately and less carbs throughout the day ( I could never give up rice 100%)

This is a very simple salad to create but full of lots of flavors.
I took a piece of sushi grade tuna steak and marinated it for 10 minutes in a mixture soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, tabasco, and salt.
After 10 minutes I added the juice of half a lime and let it go for another 5 minutes. Don't marinade this fish in the lime marinade for more than 5 minutes because the citric acid will soon cook the fish, making a ceviche.
Coat with black or white sesame seeds ( I used both because I have a never ending supply) and put into the pan with oil. The important part  is that your pant must be searing hot! Cook on both sides for less than 1 minute, then place it on the cutting board for 3 minutes for it to rest and the cooking process to continue on.

The salad is made with sweet red lettuce topped with a salsa of tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions all minced and marinated with tabasco and the other half of the lime juice. A few minutes will do.

Place the lettuce on the plate, top with the tomato salsa, then slice the rested tuna and place on top. Drizzle the tuna marinade on top as the dressing and voila! Delicious!
