Final Decision!
Montpelier is just too damn small for a wedding--and I apparently have more friends than I originally thought. So I've decided finally on my first choice, the Newton White Mansion (see pictures in previous posting). The date will be July 25, 2009, and anyone who complains about the heat will be whacked on the back of the head by a designated bridal party member fitted with a large stick (any volunteers?).
Only the ceremony will be outside, and I will have a lovely air-conditioned reception in the atrium, which has windows all around so that it's like you're outside but you're not. After much angst and depression over the fact that I can't have the wedding there on the day I want, I've decided that the place is more important than the date. So there you have it.
