It figures that I'd travel 1200 miles just to hang out with a kid who lives about 1200 feet from my house. There is dick to do in Commack, short of walking 5 miles through the rain to a White Castle, talking to whorish girls, or paying $6 per game to go bowling. Fuck Long Island.

I had to restrain myself from putting my arm around his shoulders and kissing him on the eyes as a reward for having absolutely no use for me.

I love Kafka.

I get considerably fewer phone calls than I used to, and I'm not quite sure how that makes me feel. It's more figurative than anything, I suppose. Besides, I really do love it here in New York - I move in to my cell at Oneida in 6 days. I can't wait.

I can do that, I'm excited, no problem. On the other hand, I can't fucking do this.

Kafka, he wrote of a "Metamorphosis": does that mean people - me, we - can change?
