It's Just Never How you Imagined
As I spend more time with my dad I realize that the grandparents I knew where not the parents he knew and I now understand him even more. It's interesting when you think about it. The grandparents you have known all your life and who have taken care of you at point in your life, may not have been the same way with their own kids. And by the stories my dad has told, my grandparents were nothing like they are today. I know understand why my dad was hard on me some years and a lot of our earlier fights originated from.
