Let’s become one
Chapter 4
Working at the mangakissa was definitely something new - Sho wasn’t used to all the people around him who were constantly smiling and thanking him for making their drinks. There were various kinds of people visiting the place, from salary men to students, from housewives to seniors. As soon as they entered the café it seemed like they let all their problems go and they could finally relax after a day full of work. With every smile that Sho received from the customers, he felt like his heart would open up more. He was still not the most open up person, but he tried to listen to people and not to be cold and grumpy towards everyone. But probably the one thing that he enjoyed the most about his new work was watching Aiba serving the customers and taking care of the hundreds of manga that were placed all over the café.
He smiled when Aiba was rearranging the books and when he had to do it all over again because the books suddenly fell from the cupboard on the floor.
He smiled when Aiba was chatting with some older ladies and saw how much they liked the taller man.
His heart was just melting everytime he saw Aiba's bright smile that lightened up the entire place in an instant.
While Sho was preparing some drinks for the customers, Nino stepped by his side and placed muffins and donuts on the counter. Sho quickly looked at Nino and had to think about a conversation he had with him a few days ago.
Once again Sho watched Aiba talking to the customers and had to smirk when he saw how a group of high school girls were squealing when Aiba smiled at them.
“Jealous?” Nino was standing next to Sho, drinking a glass of water and watching Aiba too. Sho laughed and shook his head lightly while filling new coffee beans into the coffee machine.
“You like him, don’t you?” Sho almost dropped the bag of coffee beans as he heard what Nino suddenly asked him. A few seconds later he felt Nino's hand gripping his wrist and he looked deep into Sho's eyes. “I’m not stupid. You are watching him every day, giggling like a little girl when he is laughing, slipping something or just talking to some customers.” Sho had to swallow hard and slowly intensified his look at Nino whose gaze was still lingering on Sho.
“Just” Nino pulled his hand away from Sho's wrist “don’t you ever dare hurting him. I know Aiba-chan for more than ten years now, we rode the same train every single day, even when we had no school we spent our free time together. He is more than just a friend to me.” Sho couldn’t suppress a snort and he formed a light smirk “You like him or what?” he said to Nino who suddenly smiled too.
“He is like a brother to me. If that is answering your question” Annoyed he walked back to the kitchen where Ohno was decorating one of his new cake creations. Sho looked after Nino who suddenly hugged Ohno from behind and whispered something into the older mans ear. Both of them started to giggle and Sho saw Ohno kissing Nino softly on his lips. So that’s whats going on here, he thought while shaking his head and turning back to Aiba and the rest of the coffee beans.

“We’re off! See you two tomorrow!” Ohno and Nino waved at Aiba and Sho who were still busy with cleaning the café after they closed the shop.
“Bye!!” Aiba waved back and smiled brightly at both of them until they disappeared outside. “Guess we’re alone now” Aiba chuckled and looked at Sho who nodded silently in agreement. No matter what Aiba said or did, Sho was just reacting by nodding or shaking his head - and on that point Aiba got tired of it. He preferred even the grumpy old Sho whose favourite answer was a snort.
“Ne” he blurted out, making Sho look at him “Let’s go for a drink!” Instantly Sho wanted to shake his head but Aiba held his hand in front of Sho's face. “I didn’t ask you if you want, I said let’s go for a drink. And this time there are no excuses!” Surprised Sho looked at Aiba and saw the conviction in his eyes. “Then let’s go” the older man replied and smiled lightly at his working mate. As Aiba was receiving one of the rare smiles from Sho, he felt his heart jump a bit more than it already did when he was talking to Sho. Happily he finished cleaning the cafe and after the work was done both of them left the mangakissa.
“Where are we?” Aiba and Sho were standing in front of a tall apartment building that was close to their workplace. The neighborhood seemed really extravagant and Sho was irritated by it. What kind of bar did Aiba bring him to? He wasn’t even sure if he could pay one single drink in that kind of surrounding.
“My apartment” Aiba replied and immediately Sho turned his head in shock. “I just want to talk to you, you know. I always blab about me, my family, things that happen to me, but I don’t know a single thing about you. I will treat you one of my special teas and you are going to tell me about yourself!” Aiba's smile was even brighter and before Sho could say anything against it, the taller man immediately held his hand in front of Shos face again “No excuses, Sakurai-kun!” he giggled and led him into the apartment building.
After they went up to the last floor and arrived at Aibas flat Sho was simply stunned. Aiba's apartment was huge - everything seemed to be so expensive; the furniture, the decoration, even the fruits that were standing on the kitchen table were looking too expensive to eat. But the most beautiful thing about his flat was the breathtaking view. Slowly Sho walked to the window that was as big as a wall while Aiba was making tea for them. “Wow” Sho said amazed and looked at the Tokyo Tower that was shining in a bright orange light. He never saw the city in that beautiful state of mind - the whole town was glowing. Sho felt a bit remorseful; all the time he was wandering around the same streets, seeing the same people and having a bad impression of the citizens and the city itself, but this view was putting everything into a whole new different light.
“It’s nice, isn’t it?” Aiba placed himself behind Sho and held two cups of green tea in his hands. Sho took one and thanked him by lowering his head quickly. He nodded and took a sip from the tea while he continued to stare out of the window. Both of them rested like that until their cups were empty. Aiba took Sho's cup out of his hand, walked to the kitchen and placed the empty cups in the sink. When he walked back, he did as usual not pay any attention to the fluffy rug on the floor on which Sho was currently standing. One of Aiba's feet got entangled with the rug and his body fell forwards in the direction of the window. “Aiba!” Sho said loudly, pulling Aiba at him so that he couldn't fall against the window and landed with his back on the soft rug.
“Itai...” Sho whispered and pressed his eyes together in pain. “Are you okay, Sho-kun??” Aiba said concerned and took Sho's head into his hands to make sure that he wasn’t bleeding somewhere. But the sudden pain and the heavy feeling on his body were blown away when he heard Aiba say his first name.
Sho.
He didn’t remember if anyone ever called him by his first name. All the time people addressed him by his surname - if they knew his name at all. When Aiba called out his name Sho's mind went blank and his heart started to beat faster than it did ever before. “Aiba-kun” he whispered quietly and looked into the younger mans big chocolate brown eyes. When Aiba did the same thing, the older man pulled him closer and hugged him tightly. He gently stroked Aiba's hair and just rested his head on Aiba's shoulder. The overwhelming feeling in his chest got stronger with every second that passed. Carefully he turned himself over so that Aiba was lying on the soft rug and Sho over the taller man. He was afraid to look into Aiba's face - he didn’t know what kind of reaction he would receive, so he shyly looked out of the window.
“Sho-kun” Aiba said softly and put his hand on Sho's cheek before caressing it lightly. As Sho felt Aiba's palm on his skin, he slowly turned his face back in his direction and saw how Aiba's loving eyes were gazing at him. The taller man smiled brightly and his cheeks flushed in a bright red tone immediately. All this time Sho was watching Aiba from a safe distance, but now he couldn’t resist but to get closer and finally kiss him. Carefully he placed his lips on Aiba's, leading to a soft kiss. When their lips touched it felt like two puzzle pieces finally found each other - they were in perfect sync. Right before Sho wanted to break the kiss he felt how Aiba was taking Sho's face into his hands and kissed him even deeper.
“Don’t stop… please... Sho-chan” Aiba pleaded and looked hungrily into Sho's deep brown eyes. He could sympathize with Aibas feelings, because he didn’t want to stop the kissing and touching either. After one kiss followed another Aiba placed his mouth to Sho's ear and kissed it gently. “Sho-chan” Aiba repeated saying the older mans name several times and he had to smile when he heard how Sho moaned. Sho's hands were all over Aiba - he didn’t know where to start touching him first. He wanted Aiba so badly, but at the same time he didn’t want to stop kissing every new part that he explored. Their bodies were intertwined with each other and the moonlight from outside was shining on them.
“Finally” Aiba whispered before he slowly started to pull Sho's T-Shirt over his head.
