Star Trek AOS (Spock&Uhura, Vulcan homosexuality)
Spock&Uhura: I'm requesting this as '&' because while I'm not a huge fan of their canon relationship, I really love the idea of them as friends. You can write the breakup if you want (especially if they break up because one/both of them is gay, because that is my jam), but please have it be amicable. Otherwise I'm happy with you jumping straight to them being friends - I'd love to see them supporting each other with their problems (especially anything dealing with Spock's issues with Vulcan being destroyed), or confiding in each other about their respective love lives (if you want to go this route I like Kirk/Spock, Scotty/Uhura, Uhura/Gaila, and Uhura/T'Pring). Or anything involving their shared interest in music/languages would be great too.
Vulcan homosexuality: How do Vulcans view same sex relationships? How does the destruction of Vulcan change things? I can't imagine losing about 99.999% of the population wouldn't have an effect. Do they try to work around it, so that same-sex couples adopt or donate eggs/sperm or act as surrogates, or do they expect gay Vulcans to just suck it up and do their part for the greater good? I'd love to see Spock in particular struggling with this situation, but OCs (whether male or female) or minor characters would be great too.
Fandom specific DNWs: References to STID (Beyond is fine), Kirk and Spock paired with anyone but each other (exception for Spock/OMC or past/dissolving Spock/Uhura), any references to Winona Kirk being a bad person/mother.
Star Trek Discovery (Pike)
I'm a tiny bit nervous about requesting an ongoing canon, but I love Discovery Pike so much that I couldn't not. I love how kind and good-natured he is, and how he truly embodies Starfleet values like loyalty and respect for other lifeforms. (I'm also enjoying how much better the Discovery crew works as a crew now that they have an actual Starfleet captain in charge.) Pretty much anything about him would make me happy - backstory exploring his childhood or career, his friendships with Number One or Michael or the Discovery crew, or anything at all about his relationship with Spock. (He clearly cares about Spock a lot, and I love the idea of him mentoring/supporting Spock the way Georgiou mentored Michael.) I'm also kind of curious about his history with Georgiou and that Section 31 guy, so feel free to do something with that as well if you want. I don't ship him with anyone, so I'd prefer gen, but references to past girl/boyfriends are fine.
Fandom specific DNWs: Appearances by - or more than passing mentions of - Sarek and/or Amanda, references to George and/or Winona Kirk, romance/shippy fic, any references to Pike's fate in TOS.
Star Trek TOS (Peter Kirk, M'Benga, LGBT rights)
Peter: Surviving the loss of your whole family has got to be tough. I'd like to see him when he's older, entering Starfleet and trying to get out from under the shadow of his famous uncle, or bonding with Spock over what they went through. New Voyages has him as gay, so I'd also be interested in anything dealing with that, e.g. introducing Kirk to his boyfriend or asking Kirk/Spock for advice.
M'Benga: I find M'Benga really interesting. He's a minor character, but the few things we know about him raise all kinds of questions. Why did he intern on Vulcan? Could he have some kind of telepathic abilities? How did he end up working on the Enterprise? (I kind of like the idea of McCoy just throwing up his hands after "Journey to Babel" and deciding they really need a Vulcan expert around these parts.) I'd also really like to see him treating Spock for various illnesses/injuries, making use of his unique skills. I don't really ship him with anyone, but I feel like M'Benga/OMC could be fun.
LGBT rights: How do the reactions to same-sex relationships differ between planets/species? I see future Earth as a place where being gay/bi is a non-issue, but are there still pride parades? Gay bars? What about on other planets? Are there clashes between conservative cultures and those that are more "anything goes"? What about species that have more than two sexes, or only one? How does homosexuality work among Andorians, for example? And what about trans characters? I imagine the future has much better techniques for changing one's body, but what about the social aspects? How does the process of transitioning differ from species to species? (I'm fine with OCs for this, but I'm also okay with canon characters being re-imagined as trans, as long as they keep their canon genders.)
Notes: I like gen, but if you want to include a pairing I'm fine with anything that doesn't conflict with Kirk/Spock. (I especially like Scotty/Uhura and Chekov/Sulu, but seriously, go wild!)
