Ophelia "the gray one"

We got a sister for Agrippina last week. We picked up Ophelia, a 4 month old Calico, from a lady who had 17 kittens. Kat, who I found on craigslist and then discovered knows my co-worker, had a cat with kittens. Then her neighbor's cat had kittens and keeled over, so they brought that litter over in hopes the orphans would feed off the other mom. No luck, so Kat hand-nursed 7 kittens every 2 hours (you basically finish the batch and start all over again). Then, when she's out buying a ton of litter and food, she sees a box with two abandoned kittens. She swore against taking any more, left, and drove back out of guilt. She took in the extra two, plus their Siamese mom, who was lurking in a corner.

Ophelia is wicked chill. She's quiet (and has taught Agrippina how to shut the hell up), she's slinky, she's wicked curious, she loves sniffing everything, and she's a spaz. She has a bad tendency to put her weight on objects without testing them first, so we have a lot of crashes around the house. Agrippina is the perfect bratty younger sister. She (yes, Mr. Agrippina is still a girl to me, or else she's Professor Kittypants) follows Ophelia around, batting at her tail and causing mischief. Agrippina is visibly bouncy and delighted to have a playmate. Agrippina has a signature head lock move in which she strikes her opponent with her back legs (after Smudge passed away, Agrippina practiced on our hands). It took about two days for Ophelia to steal the move and perfect it. Ophelia never initiates battle play, so it is always very fun to watch her school Agrippina in her own move.

This is a $9.50 Kitty Crinkle Cave. Agrippina does not like the Kitty Crinkle Cave.

This is a free empty box. Agrippina likes free trash better than any toy we buy:
