So here's my first post on this livejournal blog. Lyndsie heckled me to blog and I must oblige. I don't really know how to make this livejournal look decent, hopefully I'll figure it out pretty soon. Here I will be writing my thoughts about stuff, primarily politics, religion, culture (especially classical culture), and complaining about stuff

Haha. I actually really, really like that poem. For some reason, whenever you write something in a different language, and then try to translate it into English, it always comes out looking like Ezra Pound/William Carlos Williams minimalism. "Listen to Fugazi so that you may know the nature of all things that exist." Possibly one of the greatest lines to come out of poems about emo kids. The fact that you are studying Latin blows my mind. You may very well rock my socks now.

Why thank you. I havent really read any minimalist stuff. The only philosophies I've really touched on are stoicism and epicureanism.

Minimalism is a movement in poetry rather than a philosophy. Ha. Stoicism and epicureanism. By definition, those seem like very contradictory -ism's. Isn't that a little like saying feelingsarefleetingism and manireallyrelyonandlovefeelingsism?
