Chapter 6
Tegoshi never knew that the feeling of embracing someone felt this nice. The way Ryo leaned on to him makes him feel like he can protect Ryo, even though in real life he was so much weaker than Ryo. But Ryo just looked so small inside his arms.
Tegoshi could feel Ryo was shivering like he was hurt of the past. He can’t forget about it that easily. And everytime he remembers about that he will start to blame himself again.
Ryo shut his eyes. He grabbed on Tegoshi’s arm and now he’s having trouble to breath.
“Nish.. Nishikido-kun.. Calm down.. It’s okay.. It’s okay… It’s all in the past…” said Tegoshi softly, hurriedly patted on Ryo’s back. It makes him want to cry just now.

Tegoshi was already curled up in his upper bed, while Ryo was lying on Uchi’s bed down there. The room was already dark, Tegoshi should have been asleep but he’s not. He can’t sleep knowing that Ryo was bellow him. He wanted to know if Ryo had been sleeping or he’s still awake or he’s….. Tegoshi thought too much.
“Tegoshi..”
“WAAAA!!!!!” screamed Tegoshi.
Ryo hurriedly got off his bed and stood up. He lifts his head up where he could see Tegoshi. “Eh nande? What? What’s wrong?”
Tegoshi was staring at Ryo with an awful glare. But then he felt his own face getting warm and blushing. “Oh.. It’s only you, Nishikido-kun.. I was just. I thought.. I thought I’m already alone in this room, I didn’t expect to hear someone calling my name this late.. I thought you’re a ghost..”
“Eh?”
“Gomen.. I watched too many horror movies..” said Tegoshi slowly hiding his face by looking somewhere else but to Ryo’s face.
First Ryo was staring at him with worries but now he smiled at Tegoshi, better yet, he laughed. Ryo made his way back to the bed, still laughing. While Tegoshi also pulled his blanket over his body once more, now with embarrassed feeling.
“Did my voice scare you?”
“Umm.. It’s not that.. well, yeah..” answered Tegoshi honestly. Now he laughed a bit at himself.
After laughing together for a while, remembering the way Tegoshi screamed suddenly. Then it went silent for a couple minutes. But Tegoshi knew Ryo wasn’t asleep yet because he can hear Ryo’s humming a song silently.
“You can’t sleep, Nishikido-kun?” said Tegoshi hesitantly.
“Yea..” answered Ryo shortly.
“Oh.. Umm, before.. Why do you call my name..?” asked Tegoshi.
“Oh that..” Ryo was so thankful that Tegoshi was up there, so that Tegoshi doesn’t stare right at him. “Umm.. Tomorrow.. If you have time.. Soccer game, I’m having a soccer game.. If you have time, you can come and watch..”
Is.. Is he asking me to see his game?
“Okay.. I will come!” said Tegoshi, trying to sound not too excited but he actually is.
“Really?”
“Hai!”
“Then.. Will you bring bentou?” asked Ryo.

The next morning, around 6 am Uchi woke up. He got up and sat on the bed. He looked to his side where he found Yamapi was sleeping peacefully next to him. Uchi doesn’t want to disturb him, but right now he doesn’t feel like leaving before telling Yamapi. Even though he always does that. This time he just want to let Yamapi know before he leaves.
“Pi.. Yamapi..” said Uchi while he leaned on near Yamapi’s face. His palm was caressing Yamapi’s face slowly.
“Ngg..”
“Pi.. I’m going back to my room.. It’s already morning and I have to be prepared for school..” said Uchi. Yamapi still looked like he’s half awake. But then suddenly he realized something.
“Uchi..? Is it morning already?” Yamapi got up and sat down on the bed. “Why are you still here? I mean.. You usually..” Yamapi stared at Uchi. This never happened before. Normally Uchi would just left the next morning without even saying anything to Yamapi. And they will meet at school and Uchi will just ignore him at school.
Uchi smiled at him. “Nothing.. I just letting you know that I’m going back to my room.. I’ll see you at school..”
Yamapi saw Uchi was still there beside him. Everytime he wakes up and finds beside him already empty, it brakes his heart a little. Yamapi grabbed the back of Uchi’s neck and pulled it closer until he can kiss Uchi’s forehead. “Good morning..”
“Good morning, Yamapi..”
There goes the conversation they never had.

On the way back to his room, Uchi met Ryo. Ryo was also on the way back to his room. They meet in the alley. Ryo was never a morning person, he’s always grumpy whenever he just woke up. But right now what Uchi saw was a gentle face.
“Ryo-chan!” greets Uchi.
“Uchi..” smiled Ryo.
“Why are you so shiny and bright this morning..” smirk Uchi, he actually knew what’s the reason.
“Wha..? What? Nothing! Stop staring at me!!” Ryo waved both hands in front of his face, just to cover it somehow.
Uchi ruffled his fingers on Ryo’s hair. “Ahahaha.. You got story to tell me! I knew it..”
Ryo blushed in a second.
“Alright then, I’ll see you at school..” said Uchi while he passed Ryo. But then Uchi felt Ryo grabbed his arm suddenly. Uchi turn his head back at Ryo. “What’s wrong?”
Ryo looked hesitant for a moment. “Umm.. How are you.. How are things with Pi? I mean, I know what I saw last night..” Ryo rolled his eyes.
Uchi stared at Ryo’s eyes before he giggled. He remembers Ryo was too shocked when he was entering his room, mumbling something like he wants to buy a new soccer ball to Yamapi. But then he found Uchi and Pi was doing it. He can't stop blinking and he hurriedly left the room.
“It’s okay, Ryo-chan.. You don’t have to worry about me anymore..” smiled Uchi and he gave a pat at Ryo’s shoulder.
But Ryo’s face didn’t change. He still has that twitched eyebrows and narrowed eyes.
“But.. Uchi..”
“I’m the one who should be worried, I want to see Tomoda right away and make sure if he’s okay!” said Uchi gave a wink at Ryo.
“What? I didn’t do anything to him!!!!” hurled Ryo suddenly when Uchi was presenting him a teased look.
“Who said anything about doing stuff to Tomoda?? Areee… Well, that means you’re thinking of doing something to him???” said Uchi teasing him more. Ryo felt like he would rather disappear from this world than having himself in this position right now.
Uchi saw Ryo’s mouth was parted like he wanted to say something, but it was just hanging like that. No words came out from it. Seeing his bestfriend like that amused Uchi, but Uchi decided to stop it or else Ryo’s face would explode.
“Okay.. Okay.. I’m done.. I’m not a meanie..” said Uchi while he turn back from Ryo again and start walking to his room.
“Wait, Uchi!” called Ryo.
“Yea?” answered Uchi without stop moving.
“Hey, you seem different..” said Ryo a bit loud so that Uchi could hear him.
“Different? Like you ‘different’?” answered Uchi back.
Ryo just smiled.

Tegoshi quickly run to the door when he heard the door opened. He was smiling when he saw Uchi entering the room. Without even saying anything or let Uchi say anything, Tegoshi jump on Uchi and hug his slender body.
“Uchi-kun! You’re back!!” said Tegoshi cheerfully.
Uchi blink. And realizing that now Tegoshi was already clinging on to him like a koala bear. “Tomoda.. Good morning.. Sorry I didn’t come back last night.. I stayed over at Pi’s..”
“That’s okay.. I knew.. Nishikido-kun was here..” said Tegoshi once he get back on his feet and they walked together inside. Tegoshi was already dressed up in his uniform, he was eating breakfast on the table. He let Uchi take a shower first while he prepared another bowl of cornflakes and a bottle of milk for Uchi.
A few minutes later Uchi got out from the bathroom, after he put on his uniform and tidy his books, he sat in front of Tegoshi on the table.
“So.. What did you guys do last night.. Does Ryo talks a lot?” asked Uchi open up a conversation.
Tegoshi pulled of the spoon from his mouth. He began talking even though his mouth was still so full. “Yeaa.. after you left we walked to the dorm together.. But when we arrived, you’re not here.. Nishikido-kun came and said that you’re with Yamashita-kun in his room..”
Uchi nodded a couple time. “Souu ka..”
“Did Ryo-chan talked about anything else?”
About the past..
Tegoshi shook his head. “No, Uchi-kun..”
Let this be a secret between me and Nishikido-kun…
“He only talks about random stuff..” continued Tegoshi.
After that Tegoshi saw Uchi eating his breakfast silently. Tegoshi knew it from the start that Uchi was a quiet person. And after knowing about everything related to their past from Ryo, Tegoshi also can’t blame Uchi for being that way.
It must be hard to be living like that, holding a grudge all the time, and doing things that will just be fun for a moment. And the facts that Uchi doesn’t believe and doesn’t want to believe in love makes Tegoshi feel sad again.

School has ended that day, Ryo was on his soccer club room tying up his shoes. When he went out on the field, his team was already waiting for him. Ryo joined the group right away, said some stuff about the strategy for today, and after that the team was ready to play.
There are a lot of student from their high school and from the enemy team’s high school who are supporting and cheering for both teams. And most of it was the students from across the street, the all girl high school. Ryo’s soccer team was very famous among high shchooler, well especially the captain.
Ryo saw Uchi sat on the grass waving at him, he was alone. Ryo nodded and smiled seeing his bestfriend who never misses any of his game. Uchi pulled something out from his bag, it was a small uchiwa. Ryo thought Uchi did that because the heat was unbearable, but when Ryo observed more the uchiwa had his name on it. And now Uchi does a little gesture like he was a fans on a concert.
Ryo quickly threw a glare at Uchi, asking him to put it down. Uchi laughed in satisfaction before put away the uchiwa. Ryo let out a deep relieved breath. When both team are already facing each other and the captain are about to shake hands, at the corner of Ryo’s eyes he saw somebody approaching Uchi.
Uchi was a bit surprised when he felt somebody patted on his shoulder and sit beside him suddenly.
“Ju.. Jun?” said Uchi.
“We need to talk..” said that guy name Jun.
“It’s not the right time..” Uchi threw his face away from Jun.
“I’m not going to let you end it this way..” said Jun again. Now his hand are pulling Uchi to stand up from his seat. And it looks like they’re quarreling for a bit before Uchi decided that they should talk somewhere else.
From across the field Ryo saw it. He was wondering where Uchi might go with that guy. Usually Ryo will stay out of Uchi’s problem if he thought Uchi still could handle it. But this time he just got a weird feeling about it.
But just when Ryo was thinking about it, the game started.

“Let go!” said Uchi when they are already inside an empty classroom.
“I don’t want this to end..” said Jun with a sharp glare.
Before at break time, Uchi went to Jun’s classroom and told him that it’s over between them. He’s not going to see Jun anymore. But Jun didn’t take it seriously, and he went angry. Jun asked for a reason but Uchi said he doesn’t have a reason, he just want to end it. Uchi just left right away that’s why now Jun came to him again to hear the explaination.
“No Jun, you can get any boys and girls you want.. Just leave me, okay..” asked Uchi.
Jun looked more annoyed of what Uchi just said. “You think so? Well I want you.. And I’l have you..”
“No! Just leave me, okay.. I don’t want this anymore..” said Uchi a bit louder. Uchi turn his back at Jun and want to go right away. But suddenly Jun closed the door, he won’t let Uchi go.
“Why so cold now? You used to be… so .. much.. hotter…” said Jun with his seductive voice, whispering near Uchi’s ear. Teasing Uchi’s neckline with the tip of his nose.
Uchi grabbed Jun’s shirt and pushed him away. “Stop!”
“What?? Was this because of your boyfriend??!! Well, it didn’t stop you before!” said Jun furiously. Uchi was a bit startled by the sudden high voice. But Uchi didn’t know how to answer Jun’s question. He doesn’t know why he want to end it too. Was it because of Yamapi?
“Jun, I don’t have any explanation! Just leave me alone!!” screamed Uchi. He knew it’s his own fault that he got himself in this kind of situation. Uchi knew Jun will take this hard, he doesn’t like to be dumped. Worse, he doesn’t like to be dumped by someone he actually wants.
“You’ve captivated me, you’ve made me drunk with your affection, after making me so crazy about you.. Now, that’s it? You think after you're bored of me you can just throw me away?”
Uchi stayed quiet. He was scared of Jun, he didn’t know a person’s eyes could look that angry. Uchi hates the feeling that Jun was staring at him like those guys.. Like those guys who hurt Uchi before.. Uchi felt like he had lost all of his strength just by remembering what happened in the past. He doesn’t even realized that Jun was getting closer, demanding him, took him in his arms and pressed a kiss on Uchi’s lips.
Uchi tried to pushed him away, but he can’t. Not when he’s this scared and weak.

“GOAL!!!!!”
Ryo showed his smile when he scored the last goal, that makes his team wins the game.
Everyone gathered around him, jump on him and just cheering the team. Ryo was laughing so hard, that was a difficult kick but Ryo managed to do it successfully.
“You did it, Captain!” said a member.
The team rest on the grass. Just lying there enjoying the wind blowing while resting their exhausted body. Some of the team member received a gift from the girls and boys. There was a lot of girls who gathered around Ryo but Ryo just lying there closing his eyes. He didn’t care what those girls are saying. It’s just that they were so loud and crowded that it annoyed Ryo.
Ryo stood up, and the girls starts to whisper and tried to talk to him again. Ryo scratch his hair, trying to show them displeased look. But the girls keep talking and trying to give him gifts and stuff. Some of the gifts are good things and some of it was food. Ryo was tired and hungry he wanted to take the food, but then not far from the crowd he saw someone was standing alone.
Ryo stared at him, Tegoshi was standing there with his head lowered,he seem uncomfortable with the crowd. Ryo saw him holding a little bag on his hand. That must be it.
Ryo walked out of the crowd, everybody was staring.
“Hi..” he said, still sound so awkward a little.
Tegoshi nodded. “Hi..”
“Uum.. So.. You saw the game..”
Tegoshi nodded again. “I brought you.. bentou..” he said hesistantly. Everyone there was looking at them. Those eyes who was staring sure makes it uncomfortable. “Here.. For you..” Tegoshi lift the bag and gave it to Ryo.
Tegoshi saw Ryo’s face was really happy. Maybe Ryo didn’t even realize it.“Thanks..” said Ryo when he took the bag from Tegoshi’s hand.

When both team are already facing each other and the captain are about to shake hands, at the corner of Ryo’s eyes he saw somebody approaching Uchi.
Uchi was a bit surprised when he felt somebody patted on his shoulder and sit beside him suddenly.
“Ju.. Jun?” said Uchi.
“We need to talk..” said that guy name Jun.
“It’s not the right time..” Uchi threw his face away from Jun.
“I’m not going to let you end it this way..” said Jun again. Now his hand are pulling Uchi to stand up from his seat. And it looks like they’re quarreling for a bit before Uchi decided that they should talk somewhere else.
From across the field Ryo saw it. He was wondering where Uchi might go with that guy. Usually Ryo will stay out of Uchi’s problem if he thought Uchi still could handle it. But this time he just got a weird feeling about it.
But just when Ryo was thinking about it, the game started.

“Let go!” said Uchi when they are already inside an empty classroom.
“I don’t want this to end..” said Jun with a sharp glare.
Before at break time, Uchi went to Jun’s classroom and told him that it’s over between them. He’s not going to see Jun anymore. But Jun didn’t take it seriously, and he went angry. Jun asked for a reason but Uchi said he doesn’t have a reason, he just want to end it. Uchi just left right away that’s why now Jun came to him again to hear the explaination.
“No Jun, you can get any boys and girls you want.. Just leave me, okay..” asked Uchi.
Jun looked more annoyed of what Uchi just said. “You think so? Well I want you.. And I’l have you..”
“No! Just leave me, okay.. I don’t want this anymore..” said Uchi a bit louder. Uchi turn his back at Jun and want to go right away. But suddenly Jun closed the door, he won’t let Uchi go.
“Why so cold now? You used to be… so .. much.. hotter…” said Jun with his seductive voice, whispering near Uchi’s ear. Teasing Uchi’s neckline with the tip of his nose.
Uchi grabbed Jun’s shirt and pushed him away. “Stop!”
“What?? Was this because of your boyfriend??!! Well, it didn’t stop you before!” said Jun furiously. Uchi was a bit startled by the sudden high voice. But Uchi didn’t know how to answer Jun’s question. He doesn’t know why he want to end it too. Was it because of Yamapi?
“Jun, I don’t have any explanation! Just leave me alone!!” screamed Uchi. He knew it’s his own fault that he got himself in this kind of situation. Uchi knew Jun will take this hard, he doesn’t like to be dumped. Worse, he doesn’t like to be dumped by someone he actually wants.
“You’ve captivated me, you’ve made me drunk with your affection, after making me so crazy about you.. Now, that’s it? You think after you're bored of me you can just throw me away?”
Uchi stayed quiet. He was scared of Jun, he didn’t know a person’s eyes could look that angry. Uchi hates the feeling that Jun was staring at him like those guys.. Like those guys who hurt Uchi before.. Uchi felt like he had lost all of his strength just by remembering what happened in the past. He doesn’t even realized that Jun was getting closer, demanding him, took him in his arms and pressed a kiss on Uchi’s lips.
Uchi tried to pushed him away, but he can’t. Not when he’s this scared and weak.

“GOAL!!!!!”
Ryo showed his smile when he scored the last goal, that makes his team wins the game.
Everyone gathered around him, jump on him and just cheering the team. Ryo was laughing so hard, that was a difficult kick but Ryo managed to do it successfully.
“You did it, Captain!” said a member.
The team rest on the grass. Just lying there enjoying the wind blowing while resting their exhausted body. Some of the team member received a gift from the girls and boys. There was a lot of girls who gathered around Ryo but Ryo just lying there closing his eyes. He didn’t care what those girls are saying. It’s just that they were so loud and crowded that it annoyed Ryo.
Ryo stood up, and the girls starts to whisper and tried to talk to him again. Ryo scratch his hair, trying to show them displeased look. But the girls keep talking and trying to give him gifts and stuff. Some of the gifts are good things and some of it was food. Ryo was tired and hungry he wanted to take the food, but then not far from the crowd he saw someone was standing alone.
Ryo stared at him, Tegoshi was standing there with his head lowered,he seem uncomfortable with the crowd. Ryo saw him holding a little bag on his hand. That must be it.
Ryo walked out of the crowd, everybody was staring.
“Hi..” he said, still sound so awkward a little.
Tegoshi nodded. “Hi..”
“Uum.. So.. You saw the game..”
Tegoshi nodded again. “I brought you.. bentou..” he said hesistantly. Everyone there was looking at them. Those eyes who was staring sure makes it uncomfortable. “Here.. For you..” Tegoshi lift the bag and gave it to Ryo.
Tegoshi saw Ryo’s face was really happy. Maybe Ryo didn’t even realize it.“Thanks..” said Ryo when he took the bag from Tegoshi’s hand.
