Not bad, I think I could be a tourguide. Yesterday after class I went out with K and Catherine, and after getting my PS3 memory card adaptor, printer and Sammi's DVD for myself, we effectively did a sightseeing city tour of Singapore. Let's see here: Funan the IT mall, CityLink, the Esplanade, the Merlion, Boat Quay and Clarke Quay.
Its quite funny cos along the way I found out more about these places that I knew before. I had never known that you can actually go up to the roof terrace at the Esplanade. Either that or I have very bad memory, but the view is pretty nice and the breeze is lovely. People actually do public line dancing behind the Merlion, even though they suck too. Central at Clarke Quay is such a wonderful place if you love all things pertaining to Japanese food. I found more of my favourite sweets there at "Yamakawa supermarket" (i think I got the name right).
Sammi's DVD, by the way, is amazing. The DVD production quality is really great and the packaging is also very nice. Totally worth buying. The DVD also comes with the segment where she reads a letter she wrote to herself - so very emotional. I'm quite glad they put that in there.
On an unrelated note, one of the things I quite like to do online (especially on forums) is to dissect other people's posts and give point by point rebuttals, especially those who make logical fallacies in their points. I kinda thought I wasn't so bad at it too, until someone pointed me to this blog by a 15 year old, found
here, of whom I am very impressed with because of his level of skill at which he can pick out fallacies in lotsa arguments.
I remember saying I was gonna get back on talking about NMP Thio Li-Ann's totally fallacious speech, which is only so much more memorable because she was so totally confident while being wrong. And she even dares to point out Red Herrings when her own fallacies are worse off. Anyway, I'm sure the guy I mentioned above had a field day on that one. It was real hilarious reading the way he dissected it. I'm not gonna even bother doing it myself because his was so much better.
Logical reasoning for public policy. Is it really that hard?
