Oh glorious Food. I'm glad that I live in Singapore - where our culture embraces food so openly... it would seem that enjoying food (eating basically) is a national pasttime.. and one that I'd gladly get into, while counting calories of course...
But how much are people willing to pay for food? and does price serve as a good indicator for good food quality?
Well, it depends on the individual, but some foods have to come with a price... like this next one...
Ever wanted to enjoy authentic Korean BBQ? (no, Seoul Garden is not authentic...)
Chang Korean Charcoal BBQ at Dempsey Road might just be the place. Not only do they serve traditional Korean food, they also serve up food of rather high quality.
Whilst the selection of meat is relatively small, the premium quality of the beef they serve (which you cook by yourself on the Korean BBQ grill or the staff do it for you) there is enough to have you coming back for more.
One of the best examples of this is the Wagyu (Japanese beef from a special breed of cow, where the fat is spread uniformly into the meat, producing a marble-ized texture, see below) which is absolutely mouthwatering...

Of course, it's also one of the most expensive items on the menu and will set one back a fair bit...
but its just so deliciously beautiful to look at isn't it? Yum yum. <3 Wagyu.
