Supernatural and the Underclass 3- Music

Part 1- Intro

First of all, let me just say that you are brilliant. Your ability to synthesize and clearly state your argument is extremely impressive. I have a phD (fat lot of good it does me, but it was a goal I achieved) and I've worked editing the writing of college professors, and so I have a basis of comparison to say, you are a great writer and very persuasive. :D ( ... )

I think I'm one of the only people in my generation online that knows that song. Or the only person I'm aware of. I'm 23, and yet I'm conversing as comfortably with people who could conceivably be my parents as though I were talking to someone my age about Greenday or something. I find this strange, but not bad.

It's definitely an experience, I'll say for sure. There are some really awesome things and some really dismaying things.

You're right, it is perfectly conceivable that you could be my offspring, since I turn 43 next week! :P

One of my tasks in life is to teach these songs to younger people, so I hope it is working. :)

Oh man, I really need to recc this, too. Satin in a Coffin by Modest Mouse. Lots of Appalachian influences in there, with the banjos and fiddles.
