new job!!!

To my relief; I have a new job!!! As I type I am so tired, so relieved. I still feel a bit of disbelief. I accepted a graphic design position within the marketing department at The Dispatch. I will start on April 2. I decided to stick it out at the plant and help out the best I can; so many people have left since the layoff. It is so nice to still have 3 weeks vacation, still have the same insurance, and all the same benefits. It feels like a fresh start; new co-workers, new work, no more production! I'll get to be creative; FINALLY! I really like my future boss; a super nice guy. I liked the feeling I got from the place. The wonderful part is that I'll be working downtown. I live only about 4 miles away! So I'll be able to get up almost a few hours later! I am glad things fell into place. I feel so good about this change. Lee is out at the auto show with a friend and I'm on the couch with the laptop. I don't have to job search anymore; it's very weird. I've been job searching solidly for 3 years off & on. I'll be able to relax, to not worry so much. I got a really nice increase in money too. I will be able to start our marriage and not worry so much. So I feel spent; like my body was tensed for so long.. it's slowly relaxing. All I have energy for is channel changing and giving pets to the dog and cats : )

It's cool hearing other people get jobs within the company too; cool stuff will happen from this layoff : ) I know it!!

I wish I could watch "LOST"; Lee wouldn't forgive me if I watched it without him. Gotta love the DVR!
