For just 5 cents a day, you can sponsor this nerd and help her realise her Comic Con dreams

I'm reading tons of stuff about Comic Con and I'm really bummed I'd never heard about it until it actually happened this year. Apparently it is the end all be all of geeky nerdy pop culture, and I want in! If anyone wants to go with me next year, let me know. I wanna go.

I'm especially reading lots of stuff about Joss Whedon (who is my master now), and I hope he goes next year when I go and presents a panel again and I randomly run into him somewhere and he cracks me up and I impress him by cracking him up, too, and he invites me to come write for him even though I have no experience, really, other than this online journal, random Haikus, and guts-spilling snail mail letters to silentperiod. Maybe by then I'll have moved on to limericks, too. I'm trying, but I'm not really feeling the rhyming, so that may be a process. Anyway, maybe he'll be really impressed with my run-on compound sentences.

Or maybe he'll love my hair and they need a curly haired ambiguously ethnic doll for Dollhouse. I can act, just no one really knows it because it's not a big deal to me. But I can definitely act. As long as I don't have to cry. I'm not skilled at doing it for real, so it'd just look sooo fake if I tried for the camera, and I'd be really pissed if I were forced to do a bad job at something.

But I'm ambiguously ethnic! I could pass for whatever brown race they wanted me to! And I can do accents! Well, mostly Southern and Texan, but if I got a language coach, I'd rock out on anything they gave me! I'm good at hearing differences in speech and emulating them with help would be an easy next step. All that is perfect for Dollhouse, since the characters get programmed to be different people.

Damnit. Look what I've started.
