Lazy Sunday
One of the last things I wrote last night was that his day would start with coffee and Taboo, it did.
I got up, opened hewillnotdivide.us and saw that last nights douchenozzle was back and still up to no good, so I closed the page. I did some dishes and made a fresh pot of French press coffee (which is awesome) and watched Taboo. It was an excellent start to the day.
Then I read some. And watched tv. Because that is what this day is for. I watched Timeless, A Series of Unfortunate Events and Agents of SHIELD.
Made an excellent soup for dinner. From scratch. Because those are the very best soups.
Celery and sweet potato soup with fried leek and Bayonne ham. Tasty. I have just enough left for lunch tomorrow.
My neighbor came over for a little chat. That was nice.
We talked about board games and the games club we started five years ago, that is having a bit of a rough patch right now. It needs some new people in charge, but nobody actually wants to be in charge. Frankly, it's gotten a bit small lately. I'm not sure it's going to survive much longer. It makes me sad, but five years is not really that bad in this little town of people who are seriously afraid of any kind of commitment.
We were hoping it could grow without us. That the people who made it could step back and it would manage and possibly flourish... only time will tell what will happen. The last founders are pulling out this year, scary.
Sink or swim.
It's time for bed again.
