Sitting here chomping away on breakfast. 4 strawberries, a small handful of blueberries, 6 grapes, a tiny tangerine, and a fuji apple (though I will probably only eat half of that). I'm going to eat as raw as possible today.
I woke up with intense stomach pains this morning. Well...I have been for the past three days. Why? I am totally convinced my body CANNOT handle garlic. *sad face* I was in denial for the longest time and kept consuming large amounts of raw garlic or garlic in general. But an overwhelming feeling of UGH comes over me shortly thereafter as well as in the morning. But it tastes...soooo...GOOOD! *sigh* Well, less garlic it is then. We all have different "trigger" foods, and it's a shame that something so good for you (garlic: antibacterial, prevents cancer and all that jazz) can also irritate the crap out of your stomach. I don't enjoy waking up in such pain. I'm going to pay more attention to how certain foods make me feel, rather than how great they taste. And right now, this fruit feels really healing. And I'm very thankful for such delicious summer fruit! Cooling, rehydrating, sweet fruit! Just what the body needs in such intense Florida heat. I'm getting a good food-start for the day. I couldnt bring myself to work out this morning, though. Just felt icky. I'm sure that banana bread didn't help, lol! But I should be back on track tomorrow.
