Or Fetish Moduls. Just because your mate took some pictures of yourself sprawling on your bed or leaning against some railings dressed in cheap PVC does not make you a fetish model! Or even some sleazy guy down the local photography club gaving you a few quid to perve over you while taking pictures. Just because you have pictures of you posing doesn't mean you are attractive or a model
( ... )
Urrgh I know, the internet is plagued with unappetising girls/OLD WOMEN calling themselves models? It's diluting a really interesting industry, all those fake suicidegirls (and the original itself) are full of them. It's never interested me, the photography is generally second rate as are the women :S
I know SO many guys who have suddenly got a god-complex becaused they've put those two little letters infront of their name, everyone is doing it! So many friend requests from DJwhoever1010101.l on myspace, they think it gets girls or something :S!
Suicide girls I kinda liked as a concept. I have nothing against porn at all, esp when it involves fetishes or is aimed at the alternative market who frankly, couldn't give a toss about some permatanned bimbo. It's just that they are very evil as a company.
But yeah, good quality work always stands out. It's obvious to see fetish photography taken by or involving people who actually have a fetish for a particular thing and those that don't. My pet hate is fetish sites that cannot tell latex from PVC. Hello? It's really really obvious in all but a tiny fraction of cases.
Hey, don't stop at guys! There are plenty of girls with DJ god complexes too! Geez, they play a few records. So? Is that it? Is that your life? What else do you do for the other 166 hours a week? I don't get many trying to pull me! But I do get a lot mailing me about the band...who add me, then thank me for my support and post various adverts for their upcoming shows on my profile...which just get instantly deleted.
Yeah, porn is fine, because that's not at all pretentious and it's not hiding behind fake intentions!
PVC is beginners latex ;)
People see DJ as the new rockstar! You have to admit you get more attention, in all ways, being labelled a "DJ", it is a bit exciting, but pressing play on a track by someone else is not that impressive a skill.
I despise the whole posting any sort of advertising on pages, it's so rude! I don't get much not being anyone of interest but you must get so sick of it! I feel for you!
I'm not sure people see DJ's as the new rockstars, maybe DJs see themselves as the new rockstars though!
I'm not sure you get more attention per se. But I guess you are in a control situation so the focus is on you somewhat and power always = attention. Usually that's a good thing because people come and talk to you and say hi. There is more to it, if you do it properly, than pressing play. But even so...some people think they are rockstars. There were several on the VNV tour who seemed to think THEY were the main attraction. I'm surprised they could find headphones to fit their gigantic swollen heads.

Too true. I was once a glorified CD changer.
But yeah, people who claim to be models. *lol* The only thing worse would be a DJ model me thinks ...
