I made it safely to Calgary, despite having not started packing until 10pm last night, getting very little sleep due to my stupid stomach demanding to be fed at 4am (that's what I get for having fruit crisp for supper, but dammit it was good!), and flying in the tiniest, most claustrophobic plane ever that seemed about to shake itself apart as we descended. NOT COOL, TINY TERRIBLE PLANE. My heightened general anxiety the last couple of years plus a lot of flying has led to me becoming a somewhat nervous flyer with lots of clutching the armrests in desperate yet futile attempt to steady the plane and refusing to sit by the window. Ever had a minor panic attack midflight while flying over the Alberta Badlands which in your panicked state looks like a scabby slashed mouth not unlike the freaking Mouth of Sauron? That was my Easter. GOOD TIMES. This flight was much better, despite the turbulent landing. The poor guy next to me was either not used to flying or used to much bigger planes; he kept looking nervously out the window and asked me at one point if the plane was very old. Good job, Air Canada. Sigh.

But I was swept into the arms of my doting mum and ridiculous but mostly adorable dad and sped off to lunch and then pushed to take a nap, so the world is much brighter now. And we're going to my favourite mall, so chosen because it has a tiny awesome British import store and a pet store across from eachother. WIN. I shall go and resist awesome British chocolate bars and possibly give in to delicious Ribena and pet puppies and bunnies and kitties and birdies and be coddled in return by my ridiculous parents. I'm on VACATION, yo! :D

Dad tried to get tickets for us to go to a taping of the Letterman show, but in order to get them you have to correctly answer a trivia question about the show. FAIL, LETTERMAN. I really didn't want to go anyway, except for dad's sake, and he's pretty sad that we didn't get them. He made me apply under my name to try again, but there's nooooooo way I'll get any trivia right considering I can't stand Letterman. Ah well, moar time for shopping, muahahahaha. MUCH EXCITEMENT.

This is my happy flying song. Aka the song I listen to/hum while the plane takes off and lands. It used to be 'Such Great Heights' by the Postal Service, which is also an excellent song. Yay.
