Okay. I hadn't been as excited for the new season as I thought I would be, but ten minutes in and I'd already unfurled my Chloe banner and wibbled over torturevictim!Kiefer. O.M.G. I love what they're doing with him. I mean, being in a Chinese jail for 20 months when the entire Chinese government wants you dead can't be easy on a person, but he was so quiet and sad and withdrawn at the beginning, and he couldn't even speak at first because he never spoke a word to the Chinese after begging them to kill him at the very end of the last episode. THEY REALLY KNOW HOW TO TUG AT THE KIEFER!HEARTSTRINGS. OMG.
And his goodbye scene with Bill! Spawned so many plotbunnies! Not in me, but I think the fandom exploded. Eeeeeeeeee!

I was so sure it was going to be a season of 'let's rescue Jack from the Chinese!' and now it's 'let's watch Jack run around with a hothot terrorist-trying-to-turn-diplomat and thwart the other slightly less hot terrorist from blowing up the public transport systems!'. I am most pleased. <3<3<3<3<3<3
But they said there's a tragic twist with tonight's episodes! Oh no! Emo!Kiefer! I bet it has something to do with that stupid but adorable boy who was taken hostage by his neighbour! Oh no, don't let him get tortured! He's too cute to die! Stupid, but cute! And what's with this new female Palmer? I was SO happy to see Wayne become president, and then they give us another Palmer! Oooh!
Dad's still on about his theory that they'll bring David Palmer back to life. I think the hot Nigerien sun fried his brain. That or the fall off the camel. Your pick.
