Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to school I go . . .
I can't believe this! Where did my summer go? Now my room is all but empty, and five giant suitcases, not to mention several cardboard boxes, stand at the top of the stairs waiting to be shoved into the car. I can't pack my toilet kit yet, since I'll need it tonight, but tomorrow morning that gets stuck in the last available corner, and then it's Back To School I Go! ::screams in terror:: I can only pray that this year is successful.
Oh well, at least I'm a senior this year, so I can take out my wrath on the underclasswomen (j/k).
In happier news, the Lunatique is in the house! ::sings joyously:: At present, Luna is an exceedingly comical sight. To keep her from chewing at her stitches, she is wearing THE COLLAR, and because she's take to using her back leg to scratch at them, we had to put one of my old T-shirts on her. In a T-shirt, with her head obscured by THE COLLAR, she looks almost like a black-furred human. Granted, Luna already thinks she's a human, so it's not much of a jump.
The worst part about THE COLLAR is that Luna hasn't figured out how to cope with it. It's incredibly sad (and hilarious) to watch her try to sniff the ground and go sliding along. We have to remove it so she can eat and drink, since she can't reach the food bowl with it on, and if she goes into her sleeping crate, she can't get out again without help. Poor doggie ;_; And THE COLLAR isn't fun for the humans either, because when she runs up to you and tries to sniff, the edge of THE COLLAR cuts into your legs like the blade of a knife. I'll have the scars for many years . . .
My mom took some photos of Luna in her shirt and THE COLLAR, and I will post them as soon as they're developed.
