Missing Blog, Please Return
Friday, I went to log in to my other blog, the daily one about the boys, to see that it had been deleted, supposedly for violating the terms of service with spam. I'm not really sure how a blog of a few paragraphs and a picture or two a day, read by about a half dozen registered readers, qualifies as spam. They're going to think I'm spamming them with requests to fix it before too long! I've sent two emails off into the ether with no response yet. Although now a message comes up about "blog not found" instead of "this blog has been deleted."
I'm starting to wonder what I'll do if they can't restore it though. I guess this is the potential price for using a free blog service without any means (that I was ever aware of) to do my own backups. So that's about 2000 entries, tracking all Rohan and Gabriel's achievements and foibles, my parenting thoughts and record of our lives, potentially gone forever. Compared to some of the hurts I've suffered lately, I have to admit that it's not accurate to say a piece of me is missing, but it doesn't make me feel all energized to start up a new blog elsewhere either.
But I haven't given up hope yet.
