(no subject)
Man, there is absolutely nothing that reaffirms my love of a canon more than an impromptu vid marathon. Nothing.
I think this is by far my favorite part of having a dedicated HTPC always hooked up to my television. I mean, sure, being able to watch everything I've, ah, acquired on my tv is nice, but having every single vid I've ever downloaded at my fingertips so that I can just go "oh hey, I want to watch that vid" and press three buttons on my remote and see it on my tv is the best thing ever. I can even press zoom and get rid of black bars!
And they're all pretty and organized!
This is actually XBMC using the Transparency skin, but just. It makes me want to sit and watch vids all day.
And yes, there are 188 vids in my Stargate Atlantis folder. Only 12 more to make 200! Uh. SG-1 vids and SG-1/SGA vids are in separate folders. I get really anal in my vid organization.
Really, really anal. Out of just the folders you can see there, Stargate, Star Trek, and Whoniverse have three subfolders each, and Other has six. Organize ALL the vids! I... sort of save every single I vid I like, and have since the late 90s. And I know exactly where to find all of them.
(You try finding high-res pictures of The Sentinel. It can not be done. I improvised.)
Anyway. I just... vids make me so happy. They make me go "yes, that, that's why." They make me smile. I think I would give up fic before I'd give up my vid folders. It's only 3:40 in the morning. I have time for a few more before bed, right?
So, uh, who else is going to Vividcon this year?
