Yesterday was day #94 of my 1001 days, and I have now completed yet another goal on my 101 in 1001 list! :D
My mom was going to Lubbock anyway to get her hair done (which looks amazing now, by the way) so she turned it into a girls' day out and took me with her. I even got to have my first manicure, which is the goal in question I've now completed. Mwehehe! *maniacal giggles* Just buffed, of course, because as a harpist long fingernails would get in the way... and short ones look really weird with polish. Still, it was fun!
She also took me to the craft store (Michael's, to be exact). I had a long list of stuff I needed for my fundraiser goodies, so I was really, really glad to get to go. All in all, I spent about $200... but considering that it's all stuff I'll be selling, it's well worth the expense. The fact that I only get to go craft supply shopping once every two months or so makes it a lot less dramatic than it sounds. :)
So, what all did I get? Well, I now have enough blank note cards to last me the rest of the year... a pair of wooden frames and a few wooden crosses to paint... plus some cool pendant-y-things that were on sale, some beads, and a bunch of awesome semi-chunky toggle clasps for my knotwork jewelery. Oh, and all of the leather/nylon chord I needed to tie those knots. Happy, happy Katie!
Now, if I can just get enough schoolwork done that I can justify spending all of the time I'm going to need to spend making this stuff to sell.
