Presenting..... (cue the music)

So today's Question is:
01. Discuss how you got into Harry Potter
I'd heard about it around the time the third book was released, a few of my friends were practically panting at the thought of getting their hands on it, but honestly I wasn't too interested. I'm not sure why, I'm fairly sure something else was taking my fancy at some point (can't remember for the life of me what though), so I didn't take up any of my friends on their offer to lend it and read.
However, just before the fourth book came out, my mother came home from the second hand book store with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I honestly had no idea that this was the same book series that my friends had been raving about, so left it lying around the house for a few weeks before I finally picked it up. INSTANT HOOKAGE!! I absolutely loved it. In fact I couldn't believe how much I loved it.
So I read the others that were out. And loved them. I didn't really get into the fandom until about the time of the fifth book, but still, I was absolutely hooked on Harry Potter just before the fourth came out.
Fingers crossed I finish this one!!
