I'd rather be... anywhere else!
Buying a car has got to be one of the most torturous, stressful, terrifying acts on the planet... Last night was my 3rd purchase ever and I'm still trying to ignore the huge sick feeling in my stomach even though we got exactly what we were looking for, at the price we wanted. *sigh* I think the problem is we felt pressured and rushed - even though it was what we wanted! And so you walk away feeling freaked out instead of happy about an awesome new (used) car that I know we are going to love.
We even named in around 1am last night when we were still talking and stressing and unable to sleep - and we have never been the type to name possessions before. We may even see about getting personalized plates - something else we've never done before.
Here's the new auto - it's a blue 2010 Toyota RAV4. We traded in Hubby's 2008 Chevy Aveo for it. The Aveo was a decent car - but not so practical when Hubby's trying to get home from work at 11pm during a snow storm and the plows went to bed at 9pm. I'll feel so much better knowing he's in something safer.
And we are naming it Glitch - for two reasons. The first is after Glitch Bob in the awesome cgi series Reboot.

And this is when he becomes Glitch Bob...
Our pretty new RAV4 fits Glitch Bob's shiny blue awesomeness.
And the second reason is "Glitch" kinda perfectly sums up our in-shock feeling of "Crap! We just bought a car!"
