Went to see Grandma
on my lunch hour. She is much better today. Made intelligent conversation, seemed aware of her surrounding and is motivated to get back to her own apartment. Here's hoping this trend continues. Even though I understand she is not out of the woods yet, it was such a relief to see her better.
I'm not sure where the time is going. Nicholas is now 9 months old and learning to scoot. He doesn't crawl on his hands and knees, but he scoots kind of army man style. Arm over arm and pushes with his toes. Even scooting gets him to all sorts of places he has never been before. Finally have those outlet covers installed and need to start working on securing the cupboard doors. Like most infants he is most fascinated by anything that he shouldn't have access to. Today we have a flood in the kitchen as he turned over the dogs water dish.
Tomorrow DH and I have tickets to an afternoon Mariners game. I'm looking forward to a bit of time with just the two of us. Also hope the sun blazes like crazy. There's nothing like watching baseball outside in the warm sun. Unless it's while holding a cold beer. I'm getting thirsty already.
