We got up this morning and headed out to Portland Nursery. We walked around and picked up some new fancy cat grass for Honey Boy, some june-bearing Ranier Strawberries, lettuce and Japanese Maple food. Came home and planted those plants and fed the Japanese maple. It's doing really really well this spring!
We had a small lunch of grilled cheese sammiches and then we took the cat for his vet appointment. I saw Dr LaBord at Halsey East and it was a good visit. He doesn't have a kitty cold, but his trachea is aggravated. He is also more painful on his hind end and has been coughing more. After some discussion we decided to get him off of the prednisone and on to prednisolone. He had responded to prednisolone injections a year ago very well, so we're hoping that this will take care of his asthma and arthritis discomfort. We start our trial tomorrow. We also had the Dr look at his warty papillomas and the good news is that they're not cancer! YAY!!!
In the afternoon we took a trip to Wal-Mart and got bread and some more plants: 2 tomatoes (Early Girl and Big Boy or something like that), a bell pepper for Lauran and some Walla-Walla sweet onions. Came home and planted those. I also purchased a new wallet. My old one had been falling apart and I kept loosing stuff in it. I am trying a different style of wallet, and it's my first "grown up" style wallet. I feel a little old... Oh well.
I made lemon chicken stir fry and rice for dinner with a side of sweet potato fries. :) We watched Pan's Labyrinth with dinner and I had no clue what it was about. It was a very cool movie and very violent at parts.
All in all, a good day!
Tomorrow we go to the financial fitness fair and talk to the people who do home loans for county employees and just sort of see what sorts of financial benefits are available to me because I am a county employee. Then tot he El Indio meet. Going to do some cleaning and laundry, as my grandparents are coming on wednesday afternoon and probably spend some time with Matt. @_@ busy busy busy!
