What people thought was this:
Sam’s emotions were transparent, burning bright like fire.
Nothing of the world effected Dean. He was cold, like ice.
What outsiders didn’t know was this:
Sam was Dean’s fire, if his baby brother was in danger rage consumed his cool, his calculation, his reasoning.
Dean almost dying taught Sam how to be like ice. Never was there a moment of regret for the man who lost his life in Nebraska so that his big brother could live.
What would never be understood was this:
Polar opposites aren’t always polar opposites, especially for the Winchester brothers.
