That's the best way to sum up my life lately. School is going great. I had my formal observation the Thursday before we let out for the Christmas break. The kids were all hyper and I felt like it was very hectic, but my principal said that it went great, so that makes me feel better. The school year is half over already, I can't believe it.
This break won't be much of one as I am working at the office to help them get their year end paperwork submitted and catch up on the stuff I took care of that no one else has had time to do since I started teaching. I have enjoyed the past three days spending them with my hubby. We slept until almost noon today and then went shopping for a little while before he had to go to work.
I've gotten one of my living room couches cleared off and am working on the other two. That is another of my goals for the break is to get my house clean and try to keep it that way. I'm going to elicit the help of my husband in cleaning the kitchen since most everything else is up to me to sort through and put away. He would throw away important papers and keep stuff we don't need, so he lets me take care of that.
I have a cold that has my sugar levels running rather high lately and I have an appointment with my endocrinologist tomorrow so maybe he can suggest something to help.
I love my hubby, but he tends to get me presents I can't use. Two years ago, he bought me a chinese style shirt that didn't fit. He lost the receipt so we couldn't exchange it. The fabric was reallly stiff, not very flexible so I couldn't get it over my rather expansive chest. This year he bought another similair shirt, except it didn't have a zipper. He bought it bigger than my size thinking it would fit. It didn't go over my chest and was very tight at the arms. I tried to explain to him that I don't like that style and the Chinese are a lot smaller in the chest than I am. The shirts themselves are very pretty, but not anything I would wear out in public. His other presents this year were faboulous though one pair of jeans didn't fit, but I can exchange those easily.
I hope everyone had a merry christmas and is looking forward to the new year.
